Colin Firth's Oscar gets some Undies

As I'm sure you're all well aware by now, Colin Firth just won the Academy Award for Best Actor this last Sunday for his role in "The King's Speech".  And I must say, he is very deserving of the award.  What you might not know is that prior to the Oscars, Firth made an appearance on the Ellen show where she presented him with a pair of customized tuxedo undies for him to wear to the special occasion.  It is unknown whether he actually wore them to the Oscars or not.  But afterward, he stopped by Ellen's studio to show her his Oscar and thank her for the undies.  He also showed her a tiny replica pair of the undies she gave him that he then put on his Oscar.  Check out the underwear hilarity in the video (above). 

Oscars Underwear Exposure Correction

Yesterday I posted that no one dropped their pants at the Oscars, I was wrong! Yes, yes someone DID drop their pants (not completely) to expose a bit of their underwear. The man in question was none other than American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. Although I didn't see this live on TV I heard from a few reliable sources that while interviewing on the Red Carpet he was prompted to tell viewers his underwear of choice for the evening. Instead of simply telling viewers he exposed his waistband to the cameras. What was seen was white with gray text, most likely Calvin Klein. It is uncertain what style, boxerbriefs, briefs, thong? My guess would be boxerbriefs (he seems like a bb kind of guy). So I stand corrected about no underwear exposures at the Oscars. Calvin Klein is really popping up everywhere, who knows who will show theirs next.

Underwear Models at the Oscars

Tonight was the Academy Awards. No, no, no one dropped their pants. But there were (at least) two men present who are both men's underwear models, and both for Calvin Klein. The first is Mark Wahlberg (shown), who I'd like to mention as a rapper and on the cover of U.S.A. Weekend for today proudly flaunts his boxers (OK well the cover on USA Weekend was just a peek, but you could tell). The second is Djimon Hounsou (nominated for best supporting actor in "Blood Diamond"), a little unexpected, right? Well according to this New York Times article he will be the upcoming Calvin Klein Steel line in August. I have never heard of this line before, but I can't wait to find out what it's like, so I'll be on the look-out for that and be sure you all know about it when it comes out. Hounsou says that "Representing such an iconic American brand like Calvin Klein Underwear signifies to me that I have been accepted,”. It is true, CK has become an icon in the men's underwear world and in American culture in general. Just thought this was a timely piece.
