Tomorrow is National Underwear Day!

H&M Unveils Giant Statues of Beckham

Earlier this year H&M launched a range of undies in cooperation with David Beckham.  Honestly I thought the range would never take off.  But I was wrong, not only has it taken off, they are now doing a HUGE marketing campaign involving large silver statues of the Becks.  From now until August 31, nine 11-foot-tall statues of the soccer superstar are stationed across New York City (6 statues), LA (2), and San Francisco (1).  The statues are certainly inspired by Michelangelo's David and are modeled after the H&M campaign shots for the line.  Unlike the original David statue though, these (of course) have Beckham wearing his signature underwear. 

To further involvement, H&M will give away a $1000 shopping spree.  To win, you just have to take your picture with one of the statues and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #HMBeckham.  So there you have it.

Undergear Took over Times Square

As part of Undergear's new "Where do you wear yours?" campaign, they took over Times Square in New York yesterday. The fun featured Undergear models in their underwear parading around Times Square for a photo shoot and posing for photos with fans. They kept New Yorkers updated about their current location via Twitter. Lucky followers managed to snag some swag along witha photo or two. Here are some of the photos that were taken yesterday. Bjorn Borg Event

New York - Last night at the Peter Eliot store in Manhattan, New York an event was held to celebrate the launch of the new Bjorn Borg line. The party was a benefit party to raise funds for the Widow's and Children's Fund - an FDNY charity. Firefighters from the 2010 City of the Brave pin-up calendar served as models for the new line (the new calendar goes on sale in August).

Bjorn Borg was a Swedish tennis legend who has now turned to fashion design. So in fitting tennis style the models played table tennis at the event.

The event was a huge success. Especially when store owner Eliot Rabin dropped trou to show off his Bjorn Borg gear to all the guests.

Hottie Scotty

DJ Scotty Thomson is an up and coming spinner in the New York club scene. Scotty's no ordinary DJ, in addition to spinning hot beats he's known for his hot bod which he shows off during his shows by stripping down to his underwear. Above he can be seen wearing his baskit underwear (possibly a jock?) and below he's showing off the waistband of a Jameswinston S-brief. But don't let his attire phase you, he is an excellent artist. 2(x)ist models serve New Yorkers free coffee!

June 19, 2007 - Just this morning, between the hours of 7am and 10 am, some of New York City’s hottest male models/ Broadway Bears served free cups of coffee to wake up New Yorkers coming out of Penn Station. The models donned pieces from what is predicted to be one of 2(x)ist’s most sought after collections, the fall 2007 Carbon collection. What a nice wake-up call.

Because most New Yorkers can barely wake up without a cup of coffee each morning, 2(x)ist felt that a FREE cup served by a man in underwear would be the equivalent of a triple shot of espresso!

They were right! The following are some of the humorous responses from New Yorkers who were in high spirits with the sight of beautiful men in underwear first thing in the morning:

· “The LORD has found me today!” exclaimed an excited 30-something-year-old woman on her way to work. “You boys certainly know how to make someone’s day!”
· “Forget the free coffee, talk about a FREE show!” exclaimed another woman.
· “The coffee isn’t the only thing that’s steaming hot out here!” screamed another.

In addition to women, dozens of men were lining up for the free coffee and some were even flashing their underwear to show that they were wearing 2(x)ist. The free service was also in conjunction with Gay Pride Week as 2(x)ist is a leading brand in the underwear industry with both male and female fans of various backgrounds, cultures and ethnicities. Celebrity followers include Justin Timberlake, Demi Moore, Nick Lachey, Fergie, Ashton Kutcher, Eve, Omarion, Dave Navaro, Usher, and many more!
