If you, like many men, are looking to refresh your wardrobe for the spring you should check out Artificial Flavor's site. They have a few different packages - that they've dubbed "spring survival kits" - where you can get a whole new wardrobe (already packaged) for the fraction of the cost if you were to buy the items individually. These kits include AFlavor underwear (obviously, otherwise I would not be covering this) as well as shirts, pants, cardigans, and shorts (depending on the kit) to match. This is a great way to freshen up your wardrobe just in time for the gorgeous spring we are having. Kits range $89 - $99 compared to an original price (if you purchased all the pieces separately) of $267 - $442. Quantities are limited, so shop now!

Artificial Flavor: Price for Life
One of my favorite brands Artificial Flavor has been expanding into the men's clothing market and now sells many more articles of clothing instead of just underwear. They have some really cool jackets for sale. The reason I am bringing this up is because it may interest some of you. These stylish jackets normally sell for around $200 on their site, but now for a limited time they are available for $50. And even better still, if you are one of the first 100 to purchase the jackets during this limited time period, you will receive the $50 price for life! That's right, if you ever want a jacket from them again, you only have to pay $50, no matter how expensive they may become in the future. So this is a really great deal for all you stylish guys out there, and this could be a perfect gift for that valentine in your life.Friday, March 07, 2008
New Collection: Artificial Flavor
Artificial Flavor has just released a ton of new undies. The new range features prints, tye-dye, new styling on the briefs, and new colors! Another new thing for Artificial Flavor is the logo waistband. Before they did have a logo waistband, but the logo was inside and it was fabric-wrapped on the outside. But this time around the logo is in plain view. Lots of exciting new innovations for this season! I'm excited to try out this new stuff. Artificial Flavor has always been one of my favorite brands in terms of comfort and everyday wearability. I love how they couple this with fun, unique styling. So check out their site to get the latest.

A Flavorful Review
I recently got some new underwear in the mail from Artificial Flavor. They are from their new Military Patch Collection, I got a pair of Corporal Briefs and a pair of Corporal Hipsters. The briefs are an army green color and the hipsters are in a brown color, but they also come in navy blue.I first tried the briefs, they are very comfortable and pretty darn sexy with their thin front which shows a perfect outline of the package, while giving gentle cupping support. The briefs "melt" to the body so they become even more comfortable the longer you wear them, almost feeling like a second skin.
Next I tried the hipsters which I liked, but I found the longer I would wear them, my junk would start to fall down one of the legs, which is never a good thing. But the design of the hipster is pretty perfect other than needing a larger pouch in the front to hold everything. The hipsters are seamless in the front so it also shows a perfect outline of the stuff.

Both designs feature military patches on the side which is a pretty cool feature. I would have to say overall I love both pair of underwear, my only problem was I love the look of them so much I was always tempted to wear them with out any pants over them. I would recommend these to a guy who likes to keep it sexy, sporty and trendy. The briefs go for #29.00 (US) at AFlavor.com, and the hipsters are $32.50 (US).
While you're at AFlavor.com be sure to check out this special deal they've got going right now. Make any purchase on Aflavor.com and add to you order one shirt for FREE! Just their way of saying thanks for your support!* While Supplies Last! - Limit One Shirt per Customer. To check out this great deal click on this link.

Artificial Flavor Exposed!
Artificial Flavor has launched a new line of underwear with an exposed logo waistband. Before, the logo part of the waistband was on the inside so you only saw a smooth colored waistband on the outside. But AFlavor has opted for an edgier look with their new military patch line that features fun military patches and an in-your-face logo wasitband. So be sure to check out the new styles at Artificial Flavor! The briefs retail for $29 while the trunks sell for $32.50. Along with this new line, AFlavor has also launched a sleek new site to go with their sleek new pants. So check that out as well.Friday, August 17, 2007

Sorry for the late notice. My inbox is brimming with emails yet to be read, and I just found this one in the nick of time. Malestrom has a couple great things going on. Also, if you purchase $100 or more with of underwear (or something else I guess) you will get a free 2(x)ist no-show brief. And finally, you can get 50% off Artificial Flavor. So head on over there now. This is all over at the end of the day! So act quickly!Monday, May 21, 2007
I LOVE my AFlavor briefs!
No preface is necessary for this review (I've given you the low-down on Artificial Flavor many times before). I'm just going to launch right in. I tried the Artificial Flavor Magnum brief. This brief is definitely towards the top of my list for the most comfortable brief I've ever tried.
The fabric is very soft and stretches just enough to allow movement without restriction. The leg bands are loose-enough so that they do not dig into your thighs but they still hold the brief nicely in place. The low-rise design (although it is not advertised as such, it is in fact low-rise) covers up all the crucial bits in a very comfortable and sexy way. The leg holes are very high cut, which may be the reason why the leg bands do not cut or restrict (it is almost a tanga or bikini-like cut). Another thing that adds to the comfort of these briefs is the fact that there are hardly any seams on it. There are just two seams to add a little pouch area up front and one seam underneath (i.e. between the legs) to connect the front and the back piece of fabric. There are no seams on the sides or in the back like one finds on many other pairs of briefs. I absolutely love these briefs. I was not planning on reviewing them at all but after wearing them all day, I realized that I just have to review them and let you know how great they are. As I've said, the fit is very skimpy, but it is still decent. This is the type of brief that just knowing that you are wearing them will make you feel sexy all day long. When I put them on this morning and saw myself in the mirror I just thought to myself how great I looked in them. The style of these is just excellent. I love the colorful, yet simplistic, design. Also, the contrast, asymmetric ribbing across the front pouch makes them look as if they have a functional fly without all the extra bulk (after all, no one really uses their fly on their underwear anyway). I tried a color that they no longer sell at AFlavor (the grey Magnum), but I've got to say, I am really impressed with how white and pristine the waistband has remained after many washes and wears. Artificially Flavor briefs are quality and comfortable briefs that will really change the way you feel about briefs. If you haven't worn briefs in a while or have written them off in the past as uncomfortable, I strongly urge you to try them again because these briefs will change any preconceived notions that you have about them. Just try them, you'll like them! You can buy them at Artificial Flavor or International Jock and many other e-tailers.MY RATING:
Overall, I give the Artificial Flavor magnum briefs a total score of 9.5 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 10 (out of 10)
COMFORT -- 10 (out of 10)
STYLE -- 10 (out of 10)
QUALITY -- 10 (out of 10)

Artificial Flavor Reviewed
For quite a while I have been giving you quite a bit of info on the brand Artificial Flavor. It really is a great brand and is well worth buying. They just launched a brand new collection that includes over 40 new styles. Currently, this collection is only available at International Jock (as far as I can tell). A
lthough John Vitti (founder of AFlavor) promises that they will be up on their official site soon. The collection includes 6 different types of styling of underwear (in briefs and trunks). The new part is there is one new style (the "bandito") and the classic styles are in a lot of fun, new, spring colors. Also, they have added loungewear that includes trackpants or lounge pants and sweatshirts. The whole collection is very fantastically styled and works seamlessly together. I am happy to say that I have had the opportunity to try out some of their collection. I did not try out the new colors, but I am assured that they fit and feel the exact same way (with one exception, that I will discuss later). For the purposes of this review I am going to talk about the trunk (all the trunks are the same, but just in case you really are curious, I am basing this off the camel "trickster").Now down to business... The trunk fits superbly. It is one of those trunks that isn't too short and isn't too long. It's not quite a brief or even a square-cut brief, but it's also not long enough to seem too much like a sliding short. The inseam is very short (I'd say no more than 2") and the rise is very low; therefore it just perfectly covers all the pivotal parts. Basically, it is the perfect cut for a trunk. It also doesn't fit too tight or too loosely. AFlavor has used pretty much the perfectly elasticity to not constrict but still give shape to a man's body.
These trunks are pretty much perfect in terms of comfort. They move with your body but still hug it closely enough so you feel supported and have the cottony goodness against your skin. The only problem is the tag. The tag has a tendency to itch because it is not a very good design. But I'm not going to go into the problems with the design of the tag because I have already brought this up with John Vitti and he informed me that they redesigned the way the tag is made for the new line. So if you buy your Artificial Flavor undies now, you won't have any tag problems. And besides, I noticed that the tag itchiness was alleviated after a couple washes. (But I still must mark down in terms of points for this since I have not actually experienced the ones with the revised tag.)The style. Wow, what can I say. The retro fit and inspiration is truly... inspirational. The creativity and attention to detail in the design of Artificial Flavor underwear is truly superb. From the wide array of fashionable colors to the matching loungewear. From the logo patch on the outside, to the covered elastic waistband that is exposed on the inside (to reveal a stylish logo motif). The style of this whole line is really great and unique with a lot of personality that is sure to add personality to your wardrobe.
The quality of Artificial Flavor is excellent. As I said, the attention to detail is fantastic. These truly are briefs that will last you a lifetime (if you so choose and if you follow the washing directions). They are a little pricey, but considering all the use you can get out of them, the cost is very reasonable. So if Artificial Flavor has not yet found a place in your underwear drawer, you should help them find one soon.

Happy Saint Patty's Day
Ahh... the luck of the Irish. Saint Patty's day. Great day to be Irish. Everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's day, even if you're not the other 364 days of the year. Today is a great day to get drunk, get lucky, and wear green. Where can you wear green? Why everywhere, yes even your underwear. Hopefully you already have some great green undies on, but if you don't you better change quickly. If you aren't wearing green you are a prime candidate for being pinched (I have no idea where this tradition comes from). But if someone pinches you because they don't see green, but you have on green undies, just flash them your undies and pinch them back. International Jock has a great sale going on, all green is on sale! So click here to check that out. Another thing about Saint Patrick's day, it's a great day to wear your lucky underwear because today is all about luck. Or if you don't yet have a pair of lucky underwear, wear one of your favorites (preferably in green) and make it your lucky underwear (you know what I mean).Saint Patty's Day question:
Do you have a lucky pair of underwear? If you do, what makes it lucky?
If you're interested in the briefs shown in the photo, they are the new Bandito briefs from Artificial Flavor.
And if you're feeling especially lucky, wear your lucky underwear an extra day for some opportunities for great deals in honor of UB's second anniversary which is tomorrow!!

Artificial Flavor on the Today Show video
I posted earlier about how AFlavor would be featured on the Today Show. Well it happened, but it was a very brief segment (no pun intended). To view the segment click here. The segment was all about gifts to give for Valentine's Day. Scroll to about 3:58 to get to the point where AFlavor is featured. I played around to figure out to do this. A little tip is: drag the marker vaguely to the point where you want to start and then quickly double click. If you don't want to view the video, but just want to view a summary of the segment click here. It's a very nice write-up, the TV spot was a little awkward (totally the hostess' fault). Here's the blurb on the site that's about men's underwear:
"...but nothing makes a gal melt like a man who steps up his bedroom ballgame. Help him start with his style, and select a pair of Artificial Flavor's beefed-up briefs. These undergarments were designed by a man and are as stylish as we've ever seen ($25-27.50, aflavor.com). Ginch Gonch will get you in the mood with their trendy take on tighty whities ($25.50-27; ginchgonch.com). Or, opt for Gap's (PRODUCT) RED boxers. Half the profits from these solid-colored shorts go to the Global Fund to help fight AIDS ($20, gap.com)."

Artificial Flavor on TV!
How timely that I should choose Artificial Flavor as my Valentine's pick for yesterday. In fact I'm even wearing a pair today! AFlavor will be on the Today Show tomorrow! So tune in at 9:00 am on NBC news. Congrats to Artificial Flavor for this great honor. I hope to get a youtube version (or the likes) after the showing and post it tomorrow on the blog in case you miss it. Monday, February 05, 2007
Count to Valentine's - Day 5
-Brand: Artificial Flavor-Style: Speedster (color shown: ash)
-Who to give this to: Great for the modern man. I would guess that men up on fashion trends and of the younger generation would be the best candidate for this line. But really it's a great, fun line for anyone who likes something unique. This line redefines urban (and in my opinion a bit of military inspiration) bringing a bit more shape and support to the traditional urbanite.
-Price: $27.50 at AFlavor
-Valentine's Spin: Fun curvy designs will really accentuate all the best curves of your man.

Artificial Flavor Deal
Freshpair is currently offering a deal where you buy 2 Artificial Flavor pairs of underwear and you get a free T-shirt. Not the best deal, but if you're going to buy some A-Flavors anyway it's worth taking them up on.

Artificial Flavor

Artificial Flavor is a fairly new brand. It was started by John Vitti, his broth
er, and a couple friends after talking and realizing that they all found current underwear options to be uncomfortable. So they decided that they would make their own. They also pledged to not have any boring underwear. The thought that men should have as much right as women to feel and look sexy, especially when their pants are taken off. They came up with a bunch of great designs all focused around the "urban beach" image. This idea translates into sophistication and comfort met with the attitude of the streets. This is a really fun and unique line in lots of great styles and colors. I'm glad that John brought up this topic with his friends and brother, otherwise we would not have this great brand. After over a year of successful selling in retail shops they are now launching into lounge-pants and hoddies which will be available on their website soon. Artificial Flavor is offering all Underwear Blog readers a 10% discount, enter code "flavor10" at checkout.
