Super Hero Briefs from DIESEL

DC Comics and DIESEL have joined forces to bring to you super hero undies!  The range includes four unique boxers inspired by four comic book heroes: Batman, Joker, the Flash, and the Green Lantern.  Like the superheroes themselves, each of these undies features a special, unique power. The Batman boxer, for instance, will reveal a secret armor all over the more you wash and wear it.  The Flash print contains a thermo-sensitive print that will change and move as you wear it, reacting to your body heat.  The Green Lantern print has a florescent treatment on it, with a special print being visible after it is exposed to light. And finally, the Joker print features a photo-print acid effect.

These boxers are for spring/summer 2012, but it appears that at least the Joker print is already available online at DIESEL's site for $34.  I think, though, my favorite design is the Batman one.

X Marks the Hot--A Review

Calvin, you’re back. And you look better than ever.

Since the 1990’s, Calvin Klein has been the trail blazer for men’s underwear as fashion statements. Every innovation in men’s underwear has Calvin Klein’s fingerprints all over it: from boxer briefs, to over-sized signature waistbands, to the incorporation of metallics. Calvin Klein is a monolithic force in underwear, catering to every taste and preference from loose cotton boxers to slinky cotton/lycra thongs

As the brand innovates, it also retools, reinventing older lines, like my beloved “Body” line or the “Pro Stretch” line (think red waistband). At first glance, I thought that the “X Cotton” line of basics I was taking out for a test drive today would be a retake of the CK XT line, which I have to admit I was not a huge fan of.

So, as I took them out of the box, I was bracing myself for what I would pull out. The first thing I realized that they were made of a MUCH softer material than the XT line. They were also lighter and felt much more like a natural fabric than the garments of the XT line did. Only then did I realize that maybe I needed to switch paradigms because I was in for a whole new experience with the CK X Cotton trunk I had in my hot little hands.

The garment is fabricated primarily from cotton (55%), but is also contains modal and elasthene in almost equal proportion (45%). The result is a very stretchy garment that provides the contour hugging properties of synthetics but with the breathability of a natural fabric. In one word: HOTNESS.

Almost as alluring as the fabric, is the design aesthetic of the garment itself. More than anything else, I really like the nod to modernity and masculinity that the garment makes. The signature on the 1 ¼” black waistband is written in a dark, aqua-like color (CK calls it “tempest”) all the way around in chunky block sans serif letters. It’s a nice departure from the usual way CK incorporates its wordmark into the waistband of its undergarments. Available in black, white, and tempest (all colors feature the black waistband with tempest writing), the CK X Cotton is a bold new addition to CK’s repertoire. It also comes in hip brief, micro brief, and boxerbrief styles.

When I received the garment from Bare Necessities, I literally tore the package open to retrieve its contents. After closing the door to my office (I love underwear, but not enough to be cited for flashing my colleagues) I slipped the trunks on and wore them for the rest of the day. I’m happy to report that though I’m a briefs kind of guy, the trunks were super comfortable. They fit true to size for a North American medium (waist sizes 32-33-34). Though, they are stretchy enough that I’m sure that you could size down if you wanted an even closer fit. I’ve got pretty trained thighs, which is why I prefer briefs, but the legs of the trunks stretched without being restrictive. Same goes for the super soft jacquard waistband.

My only small criticism is the logo element attached to the front of the waistband. It felt like an afterthought and design-wise, seems a little discordant from the rest of the waistband. Other than that, I’m a very, very, happy boy with my CK X Cotton trunks.

The CK X Cotton line is brand new, you're reading about it here first! You can get it now at Bare Necessities.

Overall, I grant a score of 8.4 to the CK X Cotton Trunk based on the following criteria:
COOL FACTOR -- 9 (out of 10) – It’s the newest and hottest thing from CK
WEARABILITY -- 10 (out of 10) – I could easily wear these all day (and all night)
QUALITY -- 8 (out of 10) – No loose threads, clean stitching, quality manufacturing
HOTNESS -- 9 (out of 10) – You’ll be an undy rockstar when you sport these, they’re masculine and chic all in one garment
VALUE -- 6 (out of 10) – They’re Calvin’s latest, so you’ll have to pay premium price from them ($26 USD a pair).

New from Jameswinston...

As promised, Jameswinston has lots of exciting things planned for 2008. First up is the S-brief. This is a brand new shape for Jameswinston and the underwear world. They took their basic hipster trunk pattern and merged it with the fit of a brief and the S-brief was born. As with all Jameswinston underwear, the S-brief comes in vibrant colors with contrast coverstitching on the garment seams to add interest.

Next up is the petit-brief. This is a result of all of the Jameswinston customers who requested a micro-brief or bikini brief. It is pretty much what you would expect in terms of a bikini or micro-brief, only like the rest of Jameswinston, it is in fantastic colors (Caspian, Tusk ivory, Moor, Tzar, and Darkwood).

A new feature in both of these new designs is an unthought of, totally natural enhancer aspect coming as standard. The details of this are not completely explained yet, but more info will be coming soon. You can, however, view some more product pics on the Jameswinston website.

If you want to find out more immediately, just join Jameswinston Co. (using their "Contact" page). You'll also get an exclusive peek at some new photos from their upcoming marketing campaign, and lots more!

Rufskin Swim Jock

Here's a new idea (or at least one I haven't seen before): a swim jock that is meant to be seen (not to be confused with a swimmer jock which looks like your standard athletic supporter only slimmer). This jock comes from Rufskin, and as you'd expect with a jock, it has an entirely open back. Now of course you don't have to wear it all by itself, and in fact they encourage you to wear it under boardshorts and the like as it will provide support (which boardshorts do not). But based on the styling of this swim jock, it very easily could be worn by itself (it is at least meant to be seen). This swim jock is like the fashion jockstrap of swim jocks; it does not have the athletic look that many swimmer jocks have. Wear it how you will, this swim jock will certainly look hot in red or blue. You can get it at Malestrom for $42.

New: WildmanT's jockstrap ball lifter

Well apparently lots of you have been requesting a ball lifter jockstrap. Well you asked, and WildmanT delivered. They just launched the new product in three colors: orange and yellow for the more flashy guys, and khaki for the more reserved (although nothing is too reserved about a package-enhancing jockstrap). In my experience with the original ball lifter, my only real complaint has been that the back waistband tends to ride up since there is nothing holding it in place in the back. Although that is not uncomfortable, it is rather bizarre looking to say the least. I have not tried this ball lifter jock yet, but I'm willing to bet that the addition of the straps in the back alleviates this problem. Also, the addition of the full-coverage front allows you to wear this ball lifter without addition undies over the top (for those of you who are modest). Also, during this holiday season, WildmanT is offering free shipping on purchases over $50. So stock up on ball lifters and give yourself or a loved one a lift in the new year. Check out Tim Wildman's post about the ball lifter on his blog.

Jockey has teamed up with Urban Outfitters (a popular, trendy clothing store that specializes in urban-style clothing) to bring you some new briefs. The briefs are retro '70s inspired and come in three packs. There are three different three packs with different color combinations. The three-packs are in corresponding colors with contrast banding and a comfort logo waistband, all packaged in the signature plastic tube. Stay tuned for a review.

Sneak Peek of new line from aussieBum

These sneak peek photos of aussieBum's upcoming line appeared on their ausLife section. It was on a post entitled "We All Need a Holiday". I am guessing that this line is called holiday. The first style looks very resort/beachy inspired. The other two styles look almost African inspired meets mod. So I'm very excited to see what these ultimately look like. This line, from what I can see, includes both trunks and briefs. Keep scrolling for more images.

More goodies for your goodies from WildmanT

Tim has done it again. This time he's rolled out an adjustable version of his ever-popular Ball Lifter. Currently it is only available in dust blue.

Why adjustable you might ask? Well Tim has an answer: It is "So if you start the evening out with wanting just a little lift, and before the night is over your feeling dangerous and you want to little extra lift, then this Ball Lifter is for you!"

So there you have it, the adjustable Ball Lifter from WildmanT.

Get some support!

Get some support courtesy of WildmanT. Once again, Tim has come out with a fantastic new product. He really is just cranking out the new line, it's amazing. This new product is called "The Ball Lifter", and it does just that. As Tim has discovered, most "flat packages" are due to low-hangers. For some men, their balls act as a natural step-ladder pushing their cock into the forefront (and if that's the case, good for you, you won't need this product). But for others, their balls hang low and often disappearing between the legs, leaving a flat non-visible package. If you are one of the latter type, don't fear, WildmanT is here! The WildmanT Ball Lifter is designed to solve all your package problems. It lifts without any fancy contraptions or discomfort. It is just a soft, elastic band that rests under your balls and lifts them up and forward, pushing your cock and package to the front. And you won't feel fake, it's all you! This is a really versatile product. You can wear it by itself, for a little something sexy; or you can wear it under another pair of underwear to give your package some more shape. It's great for special occasions and just everyday wear. As Tim promises: "Once you wear it, you will never go without it!" The photo shown is just of the Ball Lifter by itself. To see how it looks when it is worn, click here (caution: full frontal nudity). This is a great idea, and I bet it will work its way into your arsenal of tricks. It's only $14, so go buy a few.
