Alternative to BIKE Jockstraps

As you may be aware, back in June BIKE announced that they will no longer be producing their iconic jockstraps. In fact, they will no longer be producing any BIKE brand gear.

JOR '80s Jockstrap Review

JOR is a brand that I didn't know all too much about until recently. They are a Colombian based underwear company, but have their products sold through many different places online. Most of their underwear are simple and basic styles, but they use many colors and color combinations that most companies wouldn't. The jockstrap I will be reviewing I purchased at MensUnderwearStore .

I own a few jockstraps, and I decided to give this one a try. I wear jockstraps mostly when working out, but sometimes I do like to wear them under normal everyday clothes. It's kind of a sexy secret, that only I know about.

JOR '80s Jock Strap 

Once I got this jockstrap, I was so excited to wear it, that I wore it out the next day. I had never really worn a jockstrap under jeans before, but it is definitely a feeling that I could get used to. There's a sense of freedom to it that I had never felt before.   

MensUnderwearStore carries a number of different colors, and prints of this jockstrap, but I chose to go with the pink waistband and black and white striped pouch. The pink is a very vibrant color, somewhat of a cross between highlighter pink, and bubblegum pink. 

The fabric of this is great. It is a 96% Polyester /4% Spandex blend. It is much stretchier than other jockstraps that I have. But it isn't too stretchy that it will lose it's elasticity quickly. With the spandex blend in it, it gives you somewhat of a "natural hang" in the pouch, while still supporting everything. 

I am normally a small in most company's sizing, and this one is no different. The only downside to these that I would say is that the straps that go around the back are just the tiniest bit too long. I do think part of this can be contributed to my lack of "junk in the trunk".  

The straps sit in a good place in the back, and don't seem to move around too much during movement. The elastic is just the right amount of tight. It is tight to your body, so it won't slide around, but it isn't too tight, to squeeze you too much. I have had other jockstraps where the waistband in the back likes to rise up, but these don't seem to do that. I have worn and washed these a number of times, and don't see any signs of wear on them. I would definitely recommend these for working out, wearing around the house, or everyday wear. They are super breathable, and very comfortable. 

Overall, I would give this jockstrap a solid 8.5/10.

CIN-2 Grip Jock Review

CIN-2 is hands down one of my favorite brands so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I decided to review their Core Grip Jockstrap. 

This jock doesn’t look very similar to other styles, it has a different strap design and the pouch is contoured with side seams as opposed to a central seam found on many other styles of underwear. I find this front seam can be unflattering or distracting but these side seams flatter while also providing the same if not superior pouch contour and support as other brands.

This jock was definitely designed with the active guy in mind, it wicks away moisture and provides great support. The straps connect to the front pouch and I find this helps in keeping everything in the right place for the day. The downside to the fabric is that you can’t use a fabric softener while washing so you do require some extra care for this Jock.

While it is obvious this was made for the active guy, I’ve worn these for many different reasons. They’re great for warm summer days, running, and I’ve even worn these underneath a full suit on an active day. So consider this no matter your lifestyle.

An added bonus about this jock is that the Grip line is an ongoing collection by CIN-2, it is redone every once in a while in more colors keeping you up to date with new looks but the same quality. If you enjoy working out in style, you are going to have luck with this being available in many colors including a new season of colors that was just recently released. 

If you aren’t much of a jock kind of guy the Grip line is also available in other styles offering more coverage. This jock leaves very little to the imagination but the waist moves easily and adjusts nicely. 

MY RATING: 9.25 (out of 10)

Recommended for: Comfortable (and stylish) working out.

The New Face of N2N - Bo Roberts

Discussing Skimpy Undies with Davey Wavey

Today YouTube celebrity Davey Wavey discusses undies. Specifically the difference between thongs and jockstraps and his personal preferences.  The video features Davey and his guest Stuart, an underwear model at Dead Good Undies.  Stuart prefers thongs while Davey prefers a jock.  So they decide to switch it up and go for a day on the town in the other one's "pants".  Check out their reasons for their preferences and their findings in this fun video above.  Also there's just some really fun, sexy undies featured in the video.

And also an exceedingly fucking sexy undergarment choice. (This added definition has not yet been approved by Merriam-Webster.)

The jockstrap has come a long way since its inception in 1874 by the Bike Company (who still manufactures jockstraps to this very day)! Originally designed for bicyclists and, as stated above, largely worn for athletic purposes, we have since reaped the benefits of the growing popularity and selection of the "fashion jockstrap."

Almost every major underwear designer now has a collection of jockstraps to choose from. And some exceptionally rad companies have been popping up in recent years putting extra emphasis on their jocks, such as the glory that is New York-based company Nasty Pig (which was also my nickname in college.... Okay, that's not true, but I wish it was).

I encourage every man, gay or straight, to own at least a few jockstraps. Straight men should be aware that there are a slew of women in the world who love seeing a man's ass in a jockstrap or a thong and will squeeze and slap it with more zeal than the gruffest rugby player after a victory.

Not only do they look hot, but they can also offer great support. They can bring that package you're undoubtedly so in love with front and center. I find that C-in2 and DT do the trick on this one magically well. And jockstraps can also offer a bit of lift to those cheeks of yours.

Jockstraps are also a wonderful choice to make during the hotter times of year. It obviously allows for a lot more breathability. Especially if you get one that's made of mesh. Andrew Christian's mesh air jock with "show-it technology" is one I highly recommend (also because of the aforementioned package amplification).

Now, among the gay community, the sexual lure of the jockstrap is a bit more obvious. It's like putting a spotlight on the goal. Now, that being said, I've encountered a number of people who associate "jockstrap" with "bottom." Not true. Watch more porn (yes, I just said that to gay men as if I needed to). Jockstraps are sexy no matter what your preferences are. I frequently wear them and I'll leave my preferences completely to your imagination. ... You're welcome.

I love wearing jocks. Yes, I'm wearing one right now as I write this. Wearing a jockstrap out and about (especially to work or on interviews, etc.) makes me feel sexy, confident, and is like my little secret that I carry with me throughout the day. Although, that secret tends to be let out after enough Stoli.

Georgia Dude Reviews Good Devil's Net Jockstrap

Hello guys! It's been a while. Today I'm reviewing the Good Devil Net Jockstrap. Now, I must admit that I'm relatively new to the world of jockstraps; I didn't get my first pair until back in October/November. I've come to really enjoy them. Also, I must admit that I don't work out (like, ever), so I'm extremely thankful for high metabolism. Anyway, here you go...

Talk about scandalous! Good Devil has taken what is already a barely-there style and made it even more "airy," as it were. When I first received this pair in the mail, I admit I was quite taken aback. Even I, who enjoys the more scandalous of underwear selections, was hesitant to attempt this pair. But I have given them a try and must say that I don't mind them. Here's the breakdown:

Fit:  As far as fit goes, the Good Devil Net Jock fits just like any other jock. However, once you get past the jock-esque style, you will notice that the pouch is significantly smaller than most. In fact, the pouch has just enough space for "the boys" and nothing more. That's because this jock is definitely not meant to be worn as a protective piece but rather as a way to "spice things up."

Comfort:  This jockstrap is especially good for the man who likes the "barely there" feel. In fact, this jockstrap is the closest to commando I've ever been while still wearing underwear. It literally feels like I have nothing on. The mesh pouch makes it seem like my "boys" are just "hanging loose." (Forgive me for the cheesy word choices). And, of course, there's the typical jockstrap open back. The only negative thing I have to say is that the straps can become a little tight by the end of a long day, but nothing extremely uncomfortable.  

Style:  This is the first mesh material I've ever worn, so I can't say much as far as that goes. This jockstrap is available in four colors:  red, black, blue, and white. The Good Devil logo is displayed on the black waist band in the same color as the mesh material. 

Value:  This jockstrap goes for $21.00 on the Good Devil website. Personally, I can't see paying $21.00 for a garment of such little fabric.  If it were cheaper, say around $15, I would definitely put forth the money and buy more of them.

Overall, I give the Good Devil Jockstrap a score of 9 out of 10 based on the following criteria:  

Fit:  10/10 - nice "airy" feel

Comfort: 9/10 - only because the straps get a little tight by the end of the day

Style: 10/10 - vibrant color, simple design

Value: 8/10 

What to Wear to the Gym?

Hey, it's me again. The least model-esque writer on this blog. But I'm back, and I'm still on my quest to lose my belly. I'll never be as rail-thin as UMan, but I don't have to be twice his size, either. Just an update - as of this week, I have lost 34lbs from when I started tracking last summer, and I am about to hit my first-stage goal. Now, if only I could wave a magic wand and make that stubborn, beastly muffin top disappear overnight...

Anywho... So we opened a new wellness center/workout facility in my little corner of nowheresville, and I've started working out a few times a week. My running pace is crummy compared to where I left off last fall, but it feels good to stretch my legs, even if it's just on the treadmill. I haven't worked with weights in years, so that's nice, too.

What that brings me to is this: What does an average joe wear to work out in? And specifically, what kind of underpants does one wear for running? I've asked UMan this, and he's one of those sickeningly thin people who doesn't have to work out, so that was a bust. So I'm going to talk about three pairs I have recently worn to the gym, and how they worked for me.

First is a Calvin Klein jockstrap. I have had this one for years, and it is the only "street" jock I own. It is mostly cotton, but it is wicked comfy (although it may not have enough room for someone as gifted as UMan). As far as workout wear goes, it does the job, and it didn't get all sweaty. I think I could like working out in jockstraps like this, if I had more of them. What do you gentlemen wear for running undies? Do you, O Reader, have any recommendations for running jocks that don't cost a fortune?

Second is a pair of UnderArmour 6" BoxerJock. These are entirely synthetic fabric, and they have a ventilated pouch. I like these, especially for running outdoors on a cool day. I wish they actually made my basket look like the guys in their ads, but I suspect I haven't got enough "padding" for that. I think I'd rather wear a jock more often than this pair, though.

Third is a pair I just got recently - a Jockey Sport H-fly trunk. The fabric makes the same claims as most athletic underwear - form-fitting, sweat-wicking, and so on. They feel nice, and I really like the way the H-fly pouch holds my bits, and makes my bulge look. They're good, but nothing super-spectacular in terms of workout wear.

So... What are your recommendations for undies for running? For gym wear?

Seeing and Being Seen

Do you have issues with being seen in your underwear?

Of course there's the discussion that could be had about saggers. You know the type; I saw them in the mall yesterday. Their pants are riding so low you can almost see light between their pants and their drawers. There must be someone who thinks that's sexy - for the life of me I can't see why.

But I've noticed that a lot of guys have problems with being seen in their underwear. Even more so when getting into and out of their undies. I know of guys who don't like going to the doctor, because he might see their undies, or worse (personally, I'm fine with it). In changing rooms or when sharing hotel rooms, some guys go out of their way not to be seen in a state of undress. To me, that's a hassle. Just do your thing and keep moving. That said, I do choose my undies more carefully when I'm sharing a room with other guys. Don't want my friends to get the wrong idea by my choice of undies.

Then there's the paradox of the guys who fastidiously cover up when in street clothes, but when they put on swim trunks - even boardies - the shorts ride down almost til the bush is peeking out.

This past week, I ran a 5k, and it was 35F when we started. That got me thinking about the idea of running tights. Do I want to be seen in skin-tight pants? Does one wear undies under them? Should one wear shorts over them? I ended up running in a pair of long-johns with my running shorts over.

On the other hand, I bet some of you have a bit of exhibitionist/voyeur streak. Do you like to show off, or keep things hidden? How much do you let show? Who do you let see?

Something Blue...

What's your favorite color? Now look in your underwear drawer.... Do you notice a trend? My favorite color is blue along with more than half of the guys out there. I like the color blue because it's a cool color that makes you feel relaxed. I am a very relaxed boy anyway but blues are also great to express yourself. My shoes for instance, I have three pairs of converse that are three different shades of blue, my sheets blue, my phone case is blue, my computer case is blue, my car is blue... the list goes on... But, what about my undies?

Looking from my desk into my undies drawer I see a trend of mine is buying blue undies. Since it is my favorite color I tend to buy more of them because I know I would love the color. At least 2/3 of my undies have blue in them. Now when I go shopping for undies I am trying to get different colors that stand out, like pink. I just want my undies drawer to be more fun! I can't wear blue all the time! This is a blue safeTguard that I just got to fuel my new obsession with jocks. It came in so many colors and as always I ended up getting blue.... So next time you are out looking for undies try getting a different color. I know I will!
