aussie on my Bum (a review)

I think I have found a new favorite brand of swimwear! This week I got a few things from aussieBum and one of them happened to be a pair of swim briefs called Origin. I'm pretty picky when it comes to the swimsuits I wear for the swim team, I want a suit that is of good quality, one that has a thick fabric, one with a great design, one with a good amount of coverage, and one that will hold up to the crazy amounts of chlorine in my school's pool. Let me tell you, this suit was a winner in every category.

Since I'm swimming at a public pool I like for the suit to...well, not give an exact outline of everything I'm packing. So I was pleased to see how thick the suit and its lining is. Where I would normally have to wear a suit underneath my "speedo" to conceal my junk, I don't have to worry about that on this one, I just put this puppy on and dive in. The Origin is made of 72% Nylon, 28% Lycra and has a rear lining to boot.

I found the design of the Origin to be downright amazing. I love a square cut suit with a low-rise, and that is pretty much the perfect description for this one. The design is impeccable, my suit came in the perfect chocolaty brown and has the aussieBum logo plastered to the back, 'cause who doesn't want a little advertising.

The pool at my school may have more chlorine in it than it does water. It's crazy, you'll go in wearing a blue suit and come out wearing a white one, I had a friend who's suit was originally green and by the end of practice it was a nasty yellow. That's not the case with the aussieBum, not only did it keep its color, but it held its shape and size like no suit I've ever had.

I love the feel of swimwear, the rush of the water flowing past almost every inch of skin, and just having the smallest area covered is a pretty crazing feeling. The origin well exceeded my expectations for comfort. I figured it would be like all my other suits, hard and stiff, yet this one is both soft and stretchy. And the best part is it feels as if I'm simply wearing a pair of underwear.

The Origin can be found on aussieBum's website. It sells for $35.96 (us.) Besides brown it also comes in black, indigo, blue and white.

I've worn a lot of suits over the years, and I can say for sure this is the best one I've ever had. My only complaint with the suit is... I wish I had gotten one a long time ago. So guys, whether you are a competitive swimmer like me or just the average beach goer, give the Origin from aussieBum a try, I know you won't be disappointed.

MY RATING: Overall, I give the aussieBum Origin a total score of 10 based on the following criteria:
COMFORT -- 10 (out of 10)
PRICE -- 10 (out of 10)
WEARABILITY -- 11 (out of 10)
DURABILITY -- 10 (out of 10)

Mix and Match Promo at Jameswinston Co.

Jameswinston Co. has a new promotion going on for the next few weeks. It's called their mix and match promo, and for very good reasons. Here's how it works:
Buy any TWO new Retro's or New Classic rib TRUNKS and get TWO cult classics (plain or rib) for FREE. There is no coupon code for this, so customers will need to buy the TWO New Retros off the site (and pay for shipping) and Jameswinston will email you and arrange which colors in the cult classic you would prefer. This promotion is restricted to the New Retro TRUNK (thus it does not apply to the Hipsters or NEON). Also note, you can only buy the TWO NEW Retro Trunks (no additional pants) to qualify for the two free pairs, otherwise you will only be eligible for one free pair.

Brand Profile: Tiger Underwear

Please check out our newest advertiser TigerUnderwearStore.Com. This post is well over-due as they've actually been advertising for a bit over a month here on UB. These folks have reintroduced a retro style brief from the 1960's and 70's. Sporting blue dashes on the waistband reminiscent from old school days, these Tiger Briefs are available in either a single or double-seat, bringing back memories of the underwear many of our readers grew up wearing. With 100% cotton fabrics and a full-cut traditional fit, Tiger Briefs offer a design fashion from the past that fits in with the whole retro trend going on today. Everything about this brand is old school, including their site images. It all just adds to the whole appeal of the brand.

In addition, Tiger Underwear is currently running a contest to win an iPod Touch. All you have to do to win is create and post a video to YouTube entitle "Tiger Underwear Contest". The video should highlight your Tiger Briefs and your love of them. For more information on the contest rules, head over to their official contest page.

Seasonal Changes in the Pants

Well it is once again time for another installment of Unzipped, so give me a sec to get my pants off, and we can have some fun. This week I thought I'd show you what I'm wearing, so the above photos are of what I had on this week. Last week I told you all about the new Undies from aussieBum, and on Monday I got a pair of the orange ones, so you can see those. Later on this weekend I'm going to post a review about them...just a hint (I love them.) On Monday I wore a pair of Jockey Elance Bikinis, which are my favorite style of underwear. Those are the white ones in the pic. On Wednesday, I wore another pair of new aussieBum's which are pretty cool, and I'm pretty sure everyone who has seen me in them wants a pair. On Thursday, I wore the ball lifter from WildmanT which I'm working on a review for, these guys are pretty fun. They give great lift and are so comfortable. And well on Friday, as any decent man does, I went commando, 'cause who really wears underwear on Fridays anyways?

So my topic of discussion for this week is: Since fall has started I've noticed a lot of guys switching their underwear. From boxers to briefs or from commando to boxers, or if you're me, I switched from bikinis and jocks to boxer briefs. So what do you all do, do you like to change it up or keep it the same?

So as always let me know, what you're thinking, the responses to last week's post were great. Keep them coming. So I've gotta go put my pants back on, and remember to always "Rock Out, With Your Hard Cock Out!"

Armani Exchange underwear in Action

A while back ago I told you about the launch of the new Armani Exchange line of underwear. But I didn't tell you about the real launch. In major cities where Armani Exchange outlets are located they had live male models strut their stuff in the new underwear. All purchases made on the launch day benefited a charity that is helping to rebuild New Orleans. So for more of the live male models view the video above. For the behind the scenes view of the advertising campaign, view the video below. [Note: Videos not available in feeds].

The Face of Flapkat

Flapkat has finally found its face. You may remember this post where I mentioned that Flapkat was looking for guys to model their wear. They have now found their man, David White. The photo shoot took place at the beginning of this month, so more images will be released soon! The line will be available for purchase by the end of October this year. Richard, the man behind the Flapkat, wants me to tell you to sign up for their mailing list (on their home page) so you can be the first to get your hands on Flapkat underwear. Stay tuned for more news on Flapkat.
