Brief Boys Review Good Devil Ballz-Out Boxer Briefs

Avg. $24.50

Brief Boys Mitchell and Patton review the Ballz-Out Boxer Brief, by Good Devil – “for those who dare.”

Patton: I couldn’t wear them, but I don’t knock ‘em for trying.

Mitchell: I was surprised that I could wear them. The overall concept seems a little outlandish, but a whole day of wearing them isn’t as distracting as you’d think. And for what they are they’re well made.

P: I get the idea, and I can see how they’d work. They’re just not for me. For what they are, though, they do seem to work. Your balls fit pretty well through the opening and, well, there they are. They’re out! Good for a hot day I guess.

M: Totally. I usually wear thinner or lighter briefs with tight pants or shorts, so these are a good candidate for that. Having your balls out does open up more opportunities for pinching, though, or snagging on things you don’t want to snag. But it’s a nice alternative to full commando – the “free” feeling of being out there but without having them stick to your leg.

P: Can’t really argue with that. What I found most uncomfortable was the penis “pocket” – a little constrictive, and maybe a better fit for grow-ers than show-ers.

M: Yeah, it’s a tight fit. Most often it ends up off to the side. The other downside to the overall fit is in the back – they don’t seem like they’re quite high enough, and I found myself constantly tugging them back up. The tag is also a bit oversized and tends to stick up.

P: I suppose one good market for these is guys concerned with their sperm count who still want to wear briefs. All the support of a brief, only your “swimmie” factory gets to stay cool and productive.

M: Perhaps that’s why the two of us are having so much trouble conceiving.

P: I doubt it’s the only reason, but we can look into it. Overall, even though these aren’t for everyone, they go beyond the gimmick. These actually could find their way into a man’s regular rotation.

M: Agreed. You might want to think twice on gym days, though.

P: Or if you’re wearing super short-shorts.

M: Yikes.

Georgia Dude Reviews Good Devil's Net Jockstrap

Georgia Dude in his Good Devil Mesh Jock.
Hello guys! It's been a while. Today I'm reviewing the Good Devil Net Jockstrap. Now, I must admit that I'm relatively new to the world of jockstraps; I didn't get my first pair until back in October/November. I've come to really enjoy them. Also, I must admit that I don't work out (like, ever), so I'm extremely thankful for high metabolism. Anyway, here you go...

Talk about scandalous! Good Devil has taken what is already a barely-there style and made it even more "airy," as it were. When I first received this pair in the mail, I admit I was quite taken aback. Even I, who enjoys the more scandalous of underwear selections, was hesitant to attempt this pair. But I have given them a try and must say that I don't mind them. Here's the breakdown:

Fit:  As far as fit goes, the Good Devil Net Jock fits just like any other jock. However, once you get past the jock-esque style, you will notice that the pouch is significantly smaller than most. In fact, the pouch has just enough space for "the boys" and nothing more. That's because this jock is definitely not meant to be worn as a protective piece but rather as a way to "spice things up."

Comfort:  This jockstrap is especially good for the man who likes the "barely there" feel. In fact, this jockstrap is the closest to commando I've ever been while still wearing underwear. It literally feels like I have nothing on. The mesh pouch makes it seem like my "boys" are just "hanging loose." (Forgive me for the cheesy word choices). And, of course, there's the typical jockstrap open back. The only negative thing I have to say is that the straps can become a little tight by the end of a long day, but nothing extremely uncomfortable.

Style:  This is the first mesh material I've ever worn, so I can't say much as far as that goes. This jockstrap is available in four colors:  red, black, blue, and white. The Good Devil logo is displayed on the black waist band in the same color as the mesh material.

Value:  This jockstrap goes for $21.00 on the Good Devil website. Personally, I can't see paying $21.00 for a garment of such little fabric.  If it were cheaper, say around $15, I would definitely put forth the money and buy more of them.

Overall, I give the Good Devil Jockstrap a score of 9 out of 10 based on the following criteria:
Fit:  10/10 - nice "airy" feel
Comfort: 9/10 - only because the straps get a little tight by the end of the day
Style: 10/10 - vibrant color, simple design
Value: 8/10

Special Edition Good Devil Waistband Exclusively at Freshpair

Good Devil has teamed up with online underwear giant Freshpair to offer you an exclusive new waistband that is only available at Freshpair.com.  This waistband is available on the mesh brief, mesh trunk, mesh thong, and mesh jock styles.  They are available in an array of colors: blue, red, black, and white.  The special waistbands have a black base like the classic Good Devil waistbands, but these ones have the logo in an accent color to match the body of the garment.  The logo is done in a sort of collage around the top that to me looks very urban and grunge (in a good way).  So there you have it, check out these exclusive new waistbands only at Freshpair.

New Good Devil - Too Sexy to Show

Net Jockstrap
Here's some hot new photos from the most recent Good Devil collection with model Levi Poulter.  The whole set of photos is so great, but unfortunately most of them are too sexy to show you.  But here's a little taste of what to expect from the new collection.

I'm really loving these new editorial photos.  They are very dark and edgy.  The shadows make the model look mysterious even though the underwear leaves very little to the imagination.

Holiday Underwear Buying Guide

Buying underwear for someone is a very personal matter. Especially for guys, because (as much as I'd like to argue otherwise) they don't get new underwear all that often, so when they do it's important that it works for them and their body.  That being said, many guys have a strong preference for what style (boxers, briefs, trunks, etc) of underwear they wear.  Some don't care that much or may be happy with a number of different styles, but others care a lot.  So make sure you know your man well before buying.  Also, it is very important for you to make sure you know your man's size.  What he wears in pants may not be the same as his underwear, so make sure you check.  Also, snooping in his underwear drawer may not tell you the completely correct size as it's possible he may have some old undies lying around that no longer fit or never fit.  If you aren't going to ask him outright, make sure you look at a pair that you know fits him well.  It's important you get the right size because most places won't let you return it.

That being said, underwear is a great gift for the holidays and many people love to give and receive it!  So once you've figured out what style and size of underwear your man needs, there's still a whole lot to choose from.  I've broken it down for you based on the personality/type of man who might like to wear each pair.  Use this holiday underwear buying guide as a jumping off point for what to get your man.  While some of these undies may seem a little expensive to you, you're paying for quality so they're worth it.

And finally, make sure you check shipping times and order early so it arrives in time!

For the Classic Man:
Ristefsky Macheda low-rise brief.
  • This category is for the guy who likes to keep it simple.  He's not opposed to something with style, but he likes his comfort first.
  • Jockey has some great selections this holiday season for the man who likes to keep it simple.  The Jockey Classics briefs are simple and affordable.  And if your man's a little more adventurous you can get him them in some different colors.  I'm also loving the looks of the Jockey Echelon bikini brief.  Super modern and hip, but still classic and simple.
  • Another one of my new favorites in Ristefsky Macheda.  Their underwear is all about being simple and understated but still body conscious.  I really like some of the briefs they have for their retro flair.   I also love their low-rise brief (shown).
  • Another great option for the classic guy is /baskit/.  I would especially recommend (read my review) something from their Snugfit Seamless collection
For the Lover/Boyfriend:
Embossment Boxer from Intymen.
  • This is the category for that special someone in your life or just that guy who you know will love and appreciate some sexy undies.
  • Some of my favorites are Good Devil and Intymen.  I personally love the Embossment boxer from Intymen (shown).  Once he's done unwrapping them you can unwrap him.
  • Another good option is Doreanse, a French brand that is newly available to the American market exclusively through Audace.   The name literally means "golden bay".  They have all sorts of sexy undies including my favorite Jungle Brief.  Stay tuned for an upcoming brand profile of Doreanse. EDIT 12/16/10: Doreanse is NOT a French brand, it is just a French name.  The brand is actually from Turkey.
  • Another great new-comer on the market is Croota.  They stock some super sexy bikinis (which are basically thongs) called second skin.   I'm also really digging their WW-III collection, which has military-inspired cargo pockets on the sides.
  • For the super daring and open guy, there's the new K'Mando brand of underwear.  This is just a pouch for his goods and nothing more.  They are quite comfy, but not for everyone.
The Fun Guy:
Lick brand Check Brief.
  • This category is for the guy who likes to have fun.  He's adventurous and not afraid to take risks.  That goes for his fashion choices as well.  He's daring and confident in his appearance.  There's a lot of great new styles out there for this guy.
  • Grundies is a great new brand from Australia.  I especially like their aussie collection like the trunk with the Austrlia flag or the trunk with a cock (rooster) printed across the pouch.
  • Another great new brand is Lick, which has four collections: Leisure, Individual, Classic, and Kinky (thus their name Lick).  I personally really like the Individual collection, especially the Union brief and the Check brief (shown).
  • Stonemen has also just released some great new beach-inspired styles, a great way to feel like you're on a vacation this holiday season.  Read what I have to say about them here
  • And another one of my favorites is Popduds.  These are screen-printed undies with original artworks on them.  You can read my review here.
The Fashionable Man:
    James Tudor retro boxer.
    • This category is for the guy that's all about style.  He's all about refinement but also isn't afraid to have a little fun with his fashion choices.
    • James Tudor just released some great new retro-inspired undies.  I personally love this brand with all it's funky details like the fully functional button flies (great for easy access).  I'm particularly loving the new retro boxer (shown).
    • Another great brand for the stylish guy is 2eros.  They're underwear is all about refined style that is still very form flattering and original.  I really like the looks of their newest Icon 3 series
    • And finally there's the habitual favorite aussieBum.  This brand offers a lot of great stuff.  Some fits into fashion, some is more fun.  All in all aussieBum is just a great brand.  But their stuff is very personal, so make sure you know your man well before buying.
    The Sporty Guy:
    • This is for the guy who is athletic and likes to do sports.  He is very body conscious and keeps in good shape and is proud of it.
    • My favorite underwear for working out is Equmen brand briefs because they support and wick well.  Check out my review here.

      New Brand: Good Devil

Just in time for Halloween we bring you Good Devil.  What's better than dressing up as a devil?  Dressing up as a Good Devil.  This fun new brand combines a little bit of naughty with a little bit of nice.  Good Devil is known for their sheer and sexy styles that leave very little to the imagination.  You can get them at Underwear Station or Undergear
      Preview Bikini
This relatively new brand, already has a number of collections to choose from.  Including the preview collection, which offers a little peek at what's inside your pouch by means of slits in the front.  The fabric has a metallic shine that adds that little extra oomph.  The preview comes in bikini (shown), boxer, g-string, and jockstrap styles.

Another fun collection is the mesh print collection.  This collection, as you'd expect, is mesh.  You can either get it plain, or with fun tribal or dragon prints.  They come in red, blue, and white and an array of styles.  See model Levi Poulter strut his stuff in the mesh collection at the International Lingerie Show in the video at the end of this post.  More videos of Good Devil in action are available on Underwear Stations' YouTube channel

      Propel Boxer with blue accents.
And finally, the last collection I want to talk about is the Good Devil Propel collection.  This collection is also made of mesh.  The whole collection is black mesh with red, white, or blue accents (your choice).  The colored accents are opaque and are carried out on the waistband and around the pouch (but the pouch still shows your junk).  You can get it in a brief, boxer or a thong.

The Good Devil collection is super sexy and will bring out that little devil in the best of you.  It is perfect for the bedroom, but it is comfy enough that you definitely could wear it all day.  I have had the opportunity to try out some of this great collection, and so far I'm very impressed.  It is sexy and sophisticated, with quality materials so that it does not seem tacky or vulgar.  Stay tuned for a full review.  In the meantime you can purchase Good Devil from Underwear Station or Undergear for $12 - $30 depending on the style.  And at Undergear take 20% off your purchase for being a MUB reader using coupon code 'UGOFF4'.
