aussieBum Succeeds in Breaking World Record!

Australian undie company aussieBum succeeded in breaking the world record for the largest pair of underwear [we reported on the making of the underwear here]. The massive red undies measure in at 15.9 metres (52.16 ft) wide and 10.55 metres (34.6 ft) high, with a waist circumference of 32 metres (105 ft), the mammoth underwear includes 300 metres of fabric (985 ft), 500 metres (1640.5 ft) of wide-width elastic, 5000 metres (16404 ft)of cotton, a 1.5 x 6 metre (5 x 19.6 ft) logo, and they weigh in at a whopping 180 kg! That completely smashes the previous record of 14.4 metres (47.2 ft) wide and 10.48 metres high. They undies were unveiled in true aussie fashion at Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens, an iconic location in Sydney, with models sporting the latest fashions from aussieBum. Sneak Peek of new line from aussieBum

These sneak peek photos of aussieBum's upcoming line appeared on their ausLife section. It was on a post entitled "We All Need a Holiday". I am guessing that this line is called holiday. The first style looks very resort/beachy inspired. The other two styles look almost African inspired meets mod. So I'm very excited to see what these ultimately look like. This line, from what I can see, includes both trunks and briefs. Keep scrolling for more images.

Correction: Ewan McGregor

A couple days ago I posted about Ewan McGregor and his aussieBum undies. What I wrote was a bit of a fabrication that has been running rampant on the web. It IS true that Ewan McGregor owns and wears aussieBum underwear; however, it is NOT true that he bought so much aussieBum undies that aBum ran a credit check on him. Here's what aussieBum has to say about it in an AusLife post:
We would .. like to state Ewan McGregor did not buy a huge volume of the underwear. He does wear aussieBum gear along with many other fashion labels. This was reported some time ago on him owning some aussieBum undies. This comment ended up in a new article that he bought many of the new Wonderjock underwear. We can assure readers this was not correct and given his reputation we doubt very much there would be a need for this.
I am not sure that I agree with aussieBum in that the wonder jock should only be worn by the under-endowed, I believe all men can use a little lift every now and then. Thank you to reader Ryan for setting me straight, sorry for the confusion.

Two New lines from aussieBum

aussieBum has been previewing some of their upcoming lines on their AusLife section. AusLife is basically aussieBum's announcement blog. So be sure to check that out occasionally. Two of these lines that I want to quickly tell you about are the Jungle line and the Manga line. More information after image.

The Jungle line was just announced today. It is basically animal printed undies. The 'Jungle Series' will be a strictly limited release. aussieBum promises that the quality and feel is absolutely amazing. They are created using the world's most luxurious fabric and hand printed in Italy by master printers. There will be four different Jungle inspired designs to help bring out the animal in you. More information after image.
The Manga line was announced April 6 and has been generating quite a bit of buzz already. As you may know, Manga is a style of Japanese art that is presented in graphic novel form. This line takes inspiration from the stylized Manga art and brings the same bold colors and shapes to prints on underwear. It was promised to be availble in a week (and that was on the 6th), but after talking with the people at aussieBum it looks like it will probably take at least two more weeks.

But whenever these come out, these are some fun new lines to be looking forward to in the coming months.
