Project Runway Undies

Ever wonder what your favorite Project Runway hosts have on underneath?  Well then this is the perfect video for you, in it the crew discusses what they wear underneath.  Michael Kors says he wears boxerbriefs... black ones apparently.  While Tim Gunn on the other hand can't make boxerbriefs work saying they ride up too much.  Gunn prefers to go with the classic brief.  Heidi keeps plugging the virtue of tight speedos on men, does this say anything about her husband Seal? 

Project Runway in Your Pants!

With the Season 6 premiere of hit TV show Project Runway tonight, I thought now would be the perfect time to talk about one of the new designers and his connection to the men's underwear world. Christopher Straub, a Minnesota native, is the man behind the men's underwear brand Cricket Syndicate. You may remember Cricket Syndicate from my review and profile in the past. If not, Cricket Syndicate specializes in creating underwear made from T-shirts. The front panel is cut from recycled t-shirts that Christopher has found. He also has a line (Cricket Clones) that are made from fabrics that he has specially designed. And if you have a t-shirt that you'd like made into undies for you or a loved one you can go the custom route and have a Cricket Custom made. Christopher started selling his underwear out of a bag in the back of bars, and now he's starring on Project Runway. He's come a long way and I'm looking forward to seeing where the future will take him.

Tim Gunn Speaks on Foundation Garments

Tim Gunn, fashionable man extrodinaire made most famous from his role on Bravo's Project Runway, speaks with Conan about unmentionables, or as he likes to call them, foundation garments. Tim is also currently on a new show entitled Tim Gunn's Guide to Style which airs on Thursday nights on Bravo. During the segment we learn that Tim hates boxer shorts (which Conan prefers) and believes that well fitting, comfortable underwear creates a key foundation for the rest of a man's wardrobe. I have to say I agree with him completely. He also mentions that he doesn't like panty lines, which begs the question, what does Tim Gunn wear to avoid them? He never really says.
