InTouch Hulk Boxer Briefs Reviewed

Hello old and new readers of MUB. I am very excited to be joining the team as the result of the recent “Join our team” announcement. I am a 25 year old who recently graduated from college. I have recently begun to see results from working out and have put on some muscle, which has been my dream for most of my scrawny life. With this change comes the confidence to dress myself up well and be seen. What better place to start than the most basic layer of clothing? As I outgrow my current collection and start to amass new pairs, I look forward to telling you about my new discoveries in the world of men’s underwear. Hope you will allow me a little stumbling room as I get used to things around here.

Now, I might have forgotten to mention in the intro that on most days, I work from home as an animator. Working from home certainly has it’s benefits, one of which is, not having to get dressed. As somewhat of an underwear enthusiast, I own easily over 25 pairs. Which in my opinion is not an extremely large number while making sure that there is everything from boxers to thongs in my underwear drawer. My purchases span everything from lounging, classy, raunchy and erotic while others are just plain fun.

For my first review for the site, I will be reviewing a pair of underwear that I own which falls in that category of “plain fun”. Being a geek and superhero movie fan, I just had to get my hands on (or "my ass in," more accurately speaking) this “Incredible Hulk” boxer brief as soon as I saw the picture. These boxer briefs are by a brand called InTouch (site works sporadically) and can be ordered for about $15 on eBay (auction ended).

As with all Asian sizing, I went for a Medium and it fit me perfectly. The back, and legs are snug without being uncomfortably tight. The pouch provides good support in the front and due to the soft and very stretchable material will also accommodate a sizable package. What I also like about the underwear is that the pouch is just one layer of cloth, thus it is more comfortable in warmer weather and also allows for the hulk (sorry, I had to do it) to expand comfortably.

Finally, lets talk about the aspect that really made this a must buy for me: The print. The back sports the big “HULK and the super mariner” title which could be read from across the room. A smaller image of the hulk lies underneath which isn’t going to be seen if you have a very round butt. But the front is where the impact is. The face of the Hulk is front and center on the pouch with his green arms on the sides accented by Hulk’s pink pants. The colors will survive washes so you don’t have to worry about it wearing out.

All things considered, I believe this pair is a great value for money. The elastics, stitching and fabric have all passed the test of time really well. This is one pair that is a must for all superhero fans.

Super Hero Briefs from DIESEL

DC Comics and DIESEL have joined forces to bring to you super hero undies!  The range includes four unique boxers inspired by four comic book heroes: Batman, Joker, the Flash, and the Green Lantern.  Like the superheroes themselves, each of these undies features a special, unique power. The Batman boxer, for instance, will reveal a secret armor all over the more you wash and wear it.  The Flash print contains a thermo-sensitive print that will change and move as you wear it, reacting to your body heat.  The Green Lantern print has a florescent treatment on it, with a special print being visible after it is exposed to light. And finally, the Joker print features a photo-print acid effect.  

These boxers are for spring/summer 2012, but it appears that at least the Joker print is already available online at DIESEL's site for $34.  I think, though, my favorite design is the Batman one. 

Disney at Xzytes

I was just browsing the web as I do, and I came across some of the cutest underwear at Xzytes.  It is Disney branded underwear with all sorts of fun Disney characters such as Stitch, Mickey Mouse, Piglet, Pooh, and the Cheshire Cat.  These undies come from Disney South Korea, so you probably won't find them anywhere else unless you're gonna take a trip.  And what's more, these things are a great deal!  They're only $9.90 USD a pair!  That's unheard of.  I have no idea what the quality is like, but even if you can only wear them once to a party they'd be worth it.  But they're 95% cotton and 5% spandex so they should be decent.

As a child I remember I used to always love having cartoon characters on my underpants, but finding the same characters for adults is a lot harder.  But here they are!  Check them out while they last!  

Super Hero - A Review

aussieBum has long been one of the leading brands out there, they are always remaining on top of the game with fun, innovative styles.  Today I want to review a pair that I've had for a while that is worth mentioning.  The Hero line features bold, cartoon prints inspired by cartoon heroes.  They come in briefs and hipsters with many different characters on them, including: Wolfman, Hunter, Exterminator, and Oceanman.  Today's review features the Oceanman Hero brief.

The fit of these briefs is mid-rise and provides modest coverage.  They fit snugly throughout, but not too tight.  The pouch has just the right amount of room so you don't feel too restricted by it.

The fabric is a polyester and spandex blend, which is surprisingly comfortable.  The fabric is so soft and smooth, you don't even realize that it's made out of artificial fibers.  One of my favorite features of this brief is the leg bands.  They are much wider than most bands making for an incredibly comfortable fit.  They hold the briefs in place as they should and prevent things from popping out, but they don't hug too tightly.  These are a really great, go-to pair of briefs.

These things scream fun!  With the bold cartoon prints they help unleash the inner child in you.  The graphic prints are perfectly cut out and placed so that none of the design is cut off.  The waistband is much more subdued than most aussieBum waistbands with a white on white logo.  This allows the focus to be on the graphic print and not the brand on the waist.  I really love the colors of the oceanman briefs and the way the blues and the greens are mixed together.  There is also a great sense of movement in the print.  It is well drawn. 

The quality of these is great.  The fabric and the band hold up well after many washes.  Because of the fabric content, they don't stretch out at all.  The flat-stitching adds to the comfort and does not fall apart.  At $30 USD a pair, these run on the expensive side, but for such high quality you'll get your money's worth.  Besides, these fun prints could be a great conversation starter.

Overall, I give the aussieBum Hero Brief a total score of 9 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9 (out of 10) - Mid-rise.  Perfect amount of roominess, not too tight. 

COMFORT -- 10 (out of 10) - Incredibly comfortable, especially for an artificial fabric.  Legbands are the best. 
STYLE -- 9 (out of 10) - Bold, conversation starter. 
QUALITY -- 9 (out of 10) - Good quality. 
VALUE -- 8 (out of 10) - Expensive, but will last well.

Super Briefs!

A new trend that we are seeing in men's underwear is novelty briefs and boxerbriefs. For a long time such things were only available as boxers and boys briefs. Now you can actually find men's character-like briefs. These briefs are pretty cool. Snaps to the manufacture for finally figuring out that men want to have fun undies too. These undies harken back to super heros with the Super Man insignia prominently placed on your bulge. But they also harken back to the tight clothing that super heros wear along with that little brief around the crotch area (it still is unclear to me why super heros dress that way (maybe they just wanted to show off their undies and/or package) ). This boxerbrief (above) especially reminds me of that type of outfit because of the way the legs are different color so it looks like the wearer is wearing briefs over boxerbriefs or tights. The boxerbriefs can be purchased here at DUGG for $14.41. They are also available in coloration of Boxerbrief as well as a Brief (both pictured below).
