New Underwear from Vizeau

I love Vizeau, I love all of their stuff, I find it sexy and incredibly good looking. I don't own any of their things, but I would love to hear what you all think of them. So a couple of weeks ago Vizeau released a new collection of underwear called Nu Riders 2. The line includes an amazing T-back called Gigolo which I'm dieing to have, and hope its under my tree this Christmas, the T-back is white with blue, red, or jade trim, it goes for $25.00 (US). Fransesco is a boxer brief with that goes for $37.00 (US). Paolo is a really cool pair of box cut briefs that are seamless, it goes for $39.00 (US). Another one of my favorites is the Callisto which is a pretty cool seamed brief with a cut out in the back, you can get it for $39.00 (US). Ettore is a jock strap that is a mix between a brief and a jock, you can get it for $28.00 (US). This is a great new collection from Vizeau so be sure to check them out at Vizeau.com.

Unzipped

Hey guys, it's me Chandler. This is the first post in a series of weekly roundups that I'm going to try to do every Friday. The posts will be titled Unzipped. They are going to be about, well me (to be honest), stuff like what I'm wearing, brands that I'm digging, styles that I love, and just random underwear/swimwear/sportswear occurrences in my life. It's going to be a way for you, the reader, to get to know who I am, well a little about who I am. So here goes, and I wanna hear from you guys. You can tell me what to wear, and I might just wear it, and tell me what styles and brands that you're into, I'm here to be your muse, so let me amuse you! The title means exactly what it says, this is my unzipped letter to you...

Week One:
Currently Wearing: Nothing but my Jockey Elance Bikini Briefs and a smile

It has been a long week, and Friday is finally here. For some reason this week my N2N red swim briefs and I have become inseparable; I've worn these guys everywhere, and yes I do wash them nightly. If you haven't tried anything from N2N, let me be the first to tell you, "Dudes you're missing out". These things are uber-sexy and uber-low rise, after wearing these guys all day they have fallen to well below the top of my dick, how much sexier can you get? I really don't know. Okay, so its safe to say that N2N is my favorite underwear/swimwear brand, and if you ever get anything from there, you'll absolutely love it. So did you see the new David Beckham pics? I know you did since we posted the suckers on here a couple days ago. WOW those were some great pics, I just wanna get me a pair of those briefs he had on, then maybe I'll be able to bend it like Beckham. Well this week I found a great store offering some great brands at discount prices, if you're looking for basic 2(x)ist, Rips, Calvin Klein, or Ralph Lauren underwear, check out your local TJ Maxx stores, they have these brands at well below retail prices.
I'm gonna keep this installment of Unzipped pretty short since it's the first one, but first let me tell you about some of the posts I'm working on for the next two weeks. The first story is about tanlines, I know we all hate having them and I know I hate seeing a girl, or a guy with bad ones, so I've got my top picks for suits that will either leave you with great sexy tanlines or none at all. Another story I've got is "Designer Underwear, is it worth it and whats so special about it." And the one I'm looking most foward to, "Me and My First Thong," so I've never worn one, but I'm about to give one a try, who knows if I'll be a convert or not, let me know which brand you think I should try. I've also got a few swimwear and jock reveiws in the works, and a profile on the Marc Ouest collection. So see you guys next week.

And be sure to tell me if it was worth me leaving my pants "unzipped" for you guys.

Peace, Chandler

PS- The pic is of my N2N swim briefs, that I'm in love with.

Not your Father's Underwear

Since moving to California in 2001, I have taken noticed of a renaissance of sorts in Design. The revolution of Design has afflicted art, architecture, technology, and fashion. Modern art is seen in common Americana; SHAG. You can find SHAG putting a new fresh look to Pink Panther or see the 60's aesthetics back in vogue in your cocktails. You can read about ecology friendly pre-fab home designs in Dwell. What about modern home kitchens and baths, just check out HGTV. Even your phone is getting into the act with Apple iPhone. So, it's no surprise that underwear has taken a leap in its design and fashion senses. On the personal level, I've acquired a fashion sense that includes Prada, JP Todds, ETRO, and now aussieBum and C-IN2.

Underwear design (if you want to call it that) what used to be a novelty bent on the silly sexy bedroom frolicks, has become ever more forward. Just look at the latest products from aussieBum, C-IN2, Toot, as brands whose designs take into account advancements in prints, fabrics, form, and cut. Cotton mixed with synthetic fabric for stretch and comfort. Low-rise briefs, a perfect corollary to one's Banana Republic or J Crew jeans, are now as 'in' as they are worn 'under' your other designer wear. There are low-rise boxer shorts too to complement your low-rise Prada slacks. And what is this 'Sling' anyway by C-IN2, technology meets form and function is what. Well, you'll have to decide. For me, I have decided that this is an exciting and fascinating time for the vitalization of underwear. There is so much creative energy thrown into this space, evident by an explosion of new makers and designers. Even old traditional names like Fruit of the Loom, Jockey, are competing with the likes of coutour designers like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and D&G. Unimaginable ten years ago, I now have to decide what underwear to chose to go with my clothes and function for the day.

In post script I ask one final question. Do you still call it "Underwear?" Well, no longer. A new name has been bestowed upon this once hidden layer of clothing that keeps your good clothes from getting soiled. Fashionistas now call it "foundation garment" (as read in WallPaper issue). As the name suggests, underwear is no longer shamefully hidden, but proudly forms the foundation for all your other fashionable layers of clothing. We must all have a hip label for men's new modern Design products.

New Trend: Double Waistband

I was inspired by a comment by a user to write this post. The commenter, Daniel, said that he wished that the new ball lifter from WildmanT came with different colored waistbands so one doesn't get a double waistband effect if one wears it under another pair of underwear. I pointed out that some underwear, like this Unico one, is designed with two waistbands. But I had no idea how much this is actually a trend until I was browsing Raffaello and I found that Dolce and Gabbana offers many pairs of underwear with two waistbands in their Spring 2007 collection. And I said to myself, if D&G is doing it then it is definitely a trend that is on the rise. So since it is obvious that this trend is just going to get bigger and will be here for a while, I thought I'd let you in on this information.
Here's the links to some of the D&G underwear that has this trend:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (shown), 6, 7,
Also, if you don't want to pay the D&G prices to accomplish this look, you could actually wear two pairs of underwear (I'd suggest wearing a regular one on the inside and a low-rise one on the outside).

I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this trend, let me know in a comment on this post.

Artificial Flavor Reviewed

For quite a while I have been giving you quite a bit of info on the brand Artificial Flavor. It really is a great brand and is well worth buying. They just launched a brand new collection that includes over 40 new styles. Currently, this collection is only available at International Jock (as far as I can tell). Although John Vitti (founder of AFlavor) promises that they will be up on their official site soon. The collection includes 6 different types of styling of underwear (in briefs and trunks). The new part is there is one new style (the "bandito") and the classic styles are in a lot of fun, new, spring colors. Also, they have added loungewear that includes trackpants or lounge pants and sweatshirts. The whole collection is very fantastically styled and works seamlessly together. I am happy to say that I have had the opportunity to try out some of their collection. I did not try out the new colors, but I am assured that they fit and feel the exact same way (with one exception, that I will discuss later). For the purposes of this review I am going to talk about the trunk (all the trunks are the same, but just in case you really are curious, I am basing this off the camel "trickster").

Now down to business... The trunk fits superbly. It is one of those trunks that isn't too short and isn't too long. It's not quite a brief or even a square-cut brief, but it's also not long enough to seem too much like a sliding short. The inseam is very short (I'd say no more than 2") and the rise is very low; therefore it just perfectly covers all the pivotal parts. Basically, it is the perfect cut for a trunk. It also doesn't fit too tight or too loosely. AFlavor has used pretty much the perfectly elasticity to not constrict but still give shape to a man's body.

These trunks are pretty much perfect in terms of comfort. They move with your body but still hug it closely enough so you feel supported and have the cottony goodness against your skin. The only problem is the tag. The tag has a tendency to itch because it is not a very good design. But I'm not going to go into the problems with the design of the tag because I have already brought this up with John Vitti and he informed me that they redesigned the way the tag is made for the new line. So if you buy your Artificial Flavor undies now, you won't have any tag problems. And besides, I noticed that the tag itchiness was alleviated after a couple washes. (But I still must mark down in terms of points for this since I have not actually experienced the ones with the revised tag.)

The style. Wow, what can I say. The retro fit and inspiration is truly... inspirational. The creativity and attention to detail in the design of Artificial Flavor underwear is truly superb. From the wide array of fashionable colors to the matching loungewear. From the logo patch on the outside, to the covered elastic waistband that is exposed on the inside (to reveal a stylish logo motif). The style of this whole line is really great and unique with a lot of personality that is sure to add personality to your wardrobe.

The quality of Artificial Flavor is excellent. As I said, the attention to detail is fantastic. These truly are briefs that will last you a lifetime (if you so choose and if you follow the washing directions). They are a little pricey, but considering all the use you can get out of them, the cost is very reasonable. So if Artificial Flavor has not yet found a place in your underwear drawer, you should help them find one soon.

MY RATING:
Overall, I give the Artificial Flavor trickster trunks a total score of 9 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9.5 (out of 10)
COMFORT -- 9 (out of 10)
STYLE -- 10 (out of 10)
QUALITY -- 9 (out of 10)
VALUE -- 8 (out of 10)

Get some support!

Get some support courtesy of WildmanT. Once again, Tim has come out with a fantastic new product. He really is just cranking out the new line, it's amazing. This new product is called "The Ball Lifter", and it does just that. As Tim has discovered, most "flat packages" are due to low-hangers. For some men, their balls act as a natural step-ladder pushing their cock into the forefront (and if that's the case, good for you, you won't need this product). But for others, their balls hang low and often disappearing between the legs, leaving a flat non-visible package. If you are one of the latter type, don't fear, WildmanT is here! The WildmanT Ball Lifter is designed to solve all your package problems. It lifts without any fancy contraptions or discomfort. It is just a soft, elastic band that rests under your balls and lifts them up and forward, pushing your cock and package to the front. And you won't feel fake, it's all you! This is a really versatile product. You can wear it by itself, for a little something sexy; or you can wear it under another pair of underwear to give your package some more shape. It's great for special occasions and just everyday wear. As Tim promises: "Once you wear it, you will never go without it!" The photo shown is just of the Ball Lifter by itself. To see how it looks when it is worn, click here (caution: full frontal nudity). This is a great idea, and I bet it will work its way into your arsenal of tricks. It's only $14, so go buy a few.
