JOR '80s Jockstrap Review

JOR is a brand that I didn't know all too much about until recently. They are a Colombian based underwear company, but have their products sold through many different places online. Most of their underwear are simple and basic styles, but they use many colors and color combinations that most companies wouldn't. The jockstrap I will be reviewing I purchased at MensUnderwearStore .

I own a few jockstraps, and I decided to give this one a try. I wear jockstraps mostly when working out, but sometimes I do like to wear them under normal everyday clothes. It's kind of a sexy secret, that only I know about.

JOR '80s Jock Strap

Once I got this jockstrap, I was so excited to wear it, that I wore it out the next day. I had never really worn a jockstrap under jeans before, but it is definitely a feeling that I could get used to. There's a sense of freedom to it that I had never felt before.

MensUnderwearStore carries a number of different colors, and prints of this jockstrap, but I chose to go with the pink waistband and black and white striped pouch. The pink is a very vibrant color, somewhat of a cross between highlighter pink, and bubblegum pink.

The fabric of this is great. It is a 96% Polyester /4% Spandex blend. It is much stretchier than other jockstraps that I have. But it isn't too stretchy that it will lose it's elasticity quickly. With the spandex blend in it, it gives you somewhat of a "natural hang" in the pouch, while still supporting everything.
I am normally a small in most company's sizing, and this one is no different. The only downside to these that I would say is that the straps that go around the back are just the tiniest bit too long. I do think part of this can be contributed to my lack of "junk in the trunk".

The straps sit in a good place in the back, and don't seem to move around too much during movement. The elastic is just the right amount of tight. It is tight to your body, so it won't slide around, but it isn't too tight, to squeeze you too much. I have had other jockstraps where the waistband in the back likes to rise up, but these don't seem to do that. I have worn and washed these a number of times, and don't see any signs of wear on them. I would definitely recommend these for working out, wearing around the house, or everyday wear. They are super breathable, and very comfortable.

Overall, I would give this jockstrap a solid 8.5/10.

FIT: 8/10
COMFORT: 9.1/10
STYLE: 7.9/10
QUALITY: 8.5/10
VALUE: 7/10

Underwear of the Month at MUS: CK One + Mini-Review

Men's Underwear Store has what they call the Underwear of the Month program.  The program works like this, basically each month, MUS will select and feature a specific brand and style of undies that they think consumers will enjoy and should know about. These selections also aim to bring attention to some of the lesser known or less talked about styles of mens underwear. The goal is to let men know about the many options they have when shopping for underwear and to make them feel comfortable and at their best.  This month's selection is the CK One low-rise trunk.  The CK One collection is a brand new collection from Calvin Klein.  The trunkscome in white, slate (gray), and black and retail for $24.  There is also a brief style if that's more your thing.  They are made of super soft microfiber and designed to complement the CK brand line of jeans and fragrances.  I can't quite say whether it does that or not, but what I can tell you is I got the opportunity to try these trunks out and they are surprisingly soft and comfy.  CK is often a mixed bag when it comes to undies, sometimes they really hit it and sometimes they miss.  But with the One collection they've hit the mark spot on.  The fabric has a smooth, silky feeling and is super light and airy.  They would be perfect to wear under your summer shorts on a hot day or to the gym to workout.  They keep you covered and supported but not too hot and sweaty.  Also, the cut of these is very minimal.  At a glance it appears to be a fairly normal cut, but upon closer inspection you realize that there isn't much coverage.  This is fine though and adds to the overall lightness of the trunk.  The rise is very low and the legs are quite short.  There is very little fabric across the perineum.  I personally find the minimal coverage of these trunks quite sexy and part of their appeal.  I wish I had one in every color!  So for $24 bucks these could be a great new addition to your collection.  In my mini-review I give these 4/5.

Enhancing Underwear is All the Rage

Cocksox Enhancing Jock
The term “junk in the trunk” isn’t just for the ladies anymore. Now more than ever, it is easier to fill out your derriere, supersize your package, or even give a lift to your nether-regions with the help of an underwear enhancement. In a recent survey on MensUnderwearStore.com, they asked customers how they felt about the underwear enhancement movement: 33% of men said that they would be open to trying this kind of underwear, while 26% revealed that they like enhancement underwear and already wear them. The underwear enhancement revolution is upon us!

Here at MUB we've definitely seen just how true this is.  With an increasing number of brands offering enhancement options like Andrew Christian and C-In2.  In fact some brands exclusively specialize in enhancing underwear like Big Boys Pants, Obviously, and Cocksox, just to name a few.   There are many different "technologies" out there to help you get a bigger profile from padding, to slings, to specially cut pouches and everything in between.

So here at MUB, we want to hear from you.  What are your thoughts on wearing enhancing underwear?  Would you wear them every day or just for special occasions?  33% of men surveyed said they would wear them, are you one?  Or maybe you're one of the 26% that already does.

Obsession: Piss and Vinegar

Obsession is a new weekly series that starts today. Every Wednesday I’ll be showing a few of my favorites from a different brand. I know when I’m browsing for underwear online I seem to almost always stick with a few brands and forget so many others. With Obsession I will be featuring up-and-coming brands, obscure brands, or brands that really break the standard underwear mold.

This week I am obsessed with Piss and Vinegar. The brand has been around a couple years, but here at MUB we have only done one post about them, which was right after the brand first hit the scene. The name was what first caught my attention. I was on Men’s Underwear Store and saw the name in the side bar. The two nouns “piss” and “vinegar” quickly drew me in and I was soon obsessed. The brand’s use of large graphics and bold colors is a fun twist on the standard underwear I have been buying as of late. Below are a few pictures of my favorite designs from Piss and Vinegar. You can find their entire collection at Beyond Big Branding. My favorite design from the brand is in the picture above. The undies are called “I Love Jesus” and have a heart right smack-dab in the middle of the crotch. I feel like for a lot of us guys are guilty of wearing our hearts on top of our crotch so this design is quite fitting. I am also obsessed with their solid color low rise briefs. These seem rather standard, but the colors that they have chosen for the briefs are a modern twist on many of the brightly colored briefs I’ve seen out there from other brands. Each pair of underwear ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 a pair. You will notice that many of the designs are tongue-and-cheek, which for me only adds to their appeal!
