2015 Holiday Gift Guide - Men's Underwear
It's that time of year again, time to figure out what to give your man for the holidays. If you're like me, it's still fairly warm out and you haven't even begun to start thinking about gifts yet alone buying them. But Christmas is less than two weeks away, so you better start planning! Underwear is a pretty traditional gift for the holiday, but it doesn't have to be boring. With our help, your man will be excited to receive undies this Christmas. Here's some of our favorites this year for your man:
![]() |
Kiniki - cage micro briefs in flesh. |
- Kiniki - Our friends at Kiniki have recently launched a new collection entitled Allure. This collection is the perfect mix of sexy and comfy to spice things up with your man. We are particularly fond of the cage micro briefs (shown).
- Bum Chums - The British brand has brought us a bunch of new undies perfect for the holidays with their new collection. We love the "Christmas jumper collection" - a fun mix of kitsch and chic.
![]() |
Ken Wroy Sydney briefs. |
- Ken Wroy - Perfect for the man who loves something a little more stylish but still likes traditional fits. The new skylines collection is fun yet functional. We love the new metallic waistbands. If your man is more of a traditionalist, you can get the metallic waistband on the new solid colors as well.
- Tani - For the man who loves luxury, Tani is the ultimate underwear. They pride themselves in combining the best in fabric, form and function. While they are a little spendy, these undies will definitely become one of your man's favs.
- Stardom - Is a great new collection that brings a fresh take to basics. The royal trunks have become one of my go-tos, but really you can't go wrong with anything from these guys. Note, they are sized a little small.
- Obviously - Obviously has upgraded their range recently with several new pouch sizes to fit every size anatomy. For the bigger man check out AnatoMAX, otherwise turn to AnatoFREE for a more standard fit.

2014 Holiday Gift Guide - Men's Underwear
Still looking for a holiday gift for that special someone? Why not upgrade his drawers this holiday season? Back in the day the standard Christmas gift was socks and underwear (albeit boring, plain undies). Why not continue that tradition, but bring it into the modern era with stylish undies for your man? Here's some of our favorites that stand out this year:
aussieBum has long been one of our favorites and this year is no different. Why not get your man some updated classics with aussieBum's Lockerboy range.

Bawbags is a new favorite of ours. Their 'cool de sacs' range is perfect for the sportsman in your life who loves a good print. Also their funky patterned base layers will be sure to keep him warm this winter.
Body Aware is a great option for the man who likes to be a little sexy. Get naughty with these sexy lace briefs.
Cocksox is a perennial favorite. They've made lots of new products this year, one of our favorites is their new striped sports brief.
Croota is definitely an underrated Australian brand. But that doesn't mean you should shy away. They have some great undies for your man, like their new Sprinkles trunk - perfect for the body and fashion-conscious man.
Ken Wroy is a newer brand hailing from NYC that's really making a splash on the scene. We just love the variety of fun, bright prints. The fit of their briefs is superb!
Mckillop wear should definitely be mentioned. This made-to-order brand offers a great selection of sexy basics. We love the way they play with opacity in their Bespoke collection.
Obviously is another great for the guy who likes comfort and is maybe a little more endowed than average. Their collection is comfy and classic. While not new, their metallic collection is worth mentioning.
Smuggling Duds is a fun brand to gift. For the guy that's jealous of all the stuff girls manage to carry in their bra, now men can do the same with these "stash pants". Check out their new super stealth range.
Supawear always offers something fresh with their unique cuts and color combos. We are in love with their Diamond Dash range, great for the guy who is a little more adventurous with his wardrobe.
Teamm8 is another brand worth noting. While seemingly simple, this collection is sexy. We endorse their bolt jock.
2eros has done an awesome refresh of their collection this year. Their new vivid series is absolutely superb.

Thonging, Obviously - A Review
The Obviously Geometric Thong is quickly becoming my favorite thong! While some guys may be hesitant to try thongs because of the idea of having a piece of string running up the crack, this thong is one I'd recommend for anyone, from novice thong wearer to the experienced thong connoisseur. I am proud to review this thong for you today.
This thong has a very "cool" design. It is bedecked with the a geometric pattern on the pouch. This particular design is made up of an array of colors, including gray, black, white, and a cool baby blue. Across the black waistband closer to the left hip, the brand's namesake "Obviously" is prominently but tastefully displayed in the same baby blue. The designer does a very good job of pulling the color scheme together in a cohesive and artistic manner throughout. The string of the thong is wider than some I've worn, so there's not as much discomfort as with some strings.
Obviously has created one of the most comfortable thongs I have encountered. The waistband is hardly noticeable, even after a long day; whereas many thongs have waistbands that are too tight and that leave an impression in the skin after just a few hours, this waistband is snug without being too tight. What is probably the thing that distinguishes this thong from any other I've worn is the pouch; while most thongs have a "barely there" pouch with hardly any fabric, this thong has a considerably roomier pouch, which Obviously calls an "anatomical pouch.". Usually, in my experience, when you get hard in a thong, there's no way to stay inside the pouch. But this pouch seems to expand as I do. The thong is made of a Modal/Lycra blended fabric, and I must say that it is super soft and has a nice "airy" feel. The fabric also wicks away sweat from the groin to keep things nice and dry.
As far as price goes, this thong is a little on the pricey side. At roughly $25 a pair, this thong may not be for the novice who is unsure as to whether he wants to try thongs or not. However, as a more seasoned thong wearer, I can honestly say that I can see paying this much for a thong this comfortable and stylish.
Overall, I give the Obviously Geometric Thong a 9 out of 10 based on the following categories:
Style = 10 (out of 10): very stylistic design with cool patterns and a good choice of colors
Fit = 10 (out of 10): anatomical pouch sets this thong above most others
Comfort = 10 (out of 10): very comfortable Modal/Lycra fabric blend
Value = 7 (out of 10): a bit on the pricey end, so not for the hesitant, but definitely worth the price for what you get

Obviously Low-Rise - A Review
We've discussed Obviously numerous times in the past. Just as a quick refresher, Obviously is an Australian brand that specializes in making "anatomically correct" underwear for men. The idea is that there is a separate pouch that allows your junk to hang as it naturally would. They promise no sticking, squashing, readjusting, chaffing, or sweating. I've reviewed their Sinuous line bikini brief in the past, today I'm going to review their low-rise brief which is available in a lot of different colors and in all their collections.
The fit of this brief is actually quite skimpy, although upon first glance it appears that you are well covered. In reality, the sides are quite tiny with less than an inch of fabric at the smallest point. However, this is augmented by a rather large waistband, so the overall visual impression is that more is covered. These briefs fit true to size and are very form fitting across the sides, butt, and perineum. The low-rise of these briefs just barely covers the assets. As I have pointed out in my previous review, the pouch seems a little unnecessarily large at times and doesn't really hold your member in place but rather allows it to flop around - but that is afterall the point of these. I personally find this to be a little annoying at times. This is especially true when wearing tighter fitting pants as the underwear lets your member hang freely in the front, thus tight pants tend to squeeze things awkwardly up front. As was the case with my previous Obviously experience, you are not completely hanging free and the pouch does allow a certain amount of support.
Just like all Obviously products, these are made from an oh-so-soft and smooth modal and lycra blend. The fabric is super soft and sensuous against the skin. It is also thin and feels almost weightless, a perfect choice for hot summer days. The tag is printed onto the inside for additional comfort. My only complaint comfort-wise is there is a seam at the bottom of the pouch across the perineum area. This seam I found is too far forward on these briefs and tended to brush up against my balls in an uncomfortable manner that required an occasional readjustment. While this is not a deal breaker, I found myself adjusting these undies way more than I would like. Part of this, however, has to do with the pants you wear them with and how much you make the pouch expand to handle your manhood throughout the course of the day.
As for the style of these things, these briefs are sizzling... sssssss.... They're almost too hot to handle. As I said, they are super skimpy. The back is full coverage, but the sides are practically non-existent. These come in a fun array of colors that are bright and playful as well as more subdued colors for the more reserved individual. I really love the way the logo waistband is set with the type not quite fitting on the band.
As with all Obviously underwear, these will set you back a pretty penny or two, but they are very good quality and well made. These will last you a good time. And with summer coming up, something this light-weight is perfect for keeping you covered and comfortable during the hot, sticky, summer days ahead. For even more comfort this summer from Obviously, try their thong.
MY RATING:
Overall, I give the Obviously Low-Rise Brief a total score of 8 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9 (out of 10) - Low-rise, minimal coverage. Anatomically correct pouch - a little too large.
COMFORT -- 7 (out of 10) - Soft fabric. Lightweight fabric perfect for summer. Occasional readjustments necessary. Overall, I give the Obviously Low-Rise Brief a total score of 8 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9 (out of 10) - Low-rise, minimal coverage. Anatomically correct pouch - a little too large.
STYLE -- 9 (out of 10) - Sizzling. Lots of fun colors to choose from.
QUALITY -- 9 (out of 10) - Well made. Will last you.
VALUE -- 8 (out of 10) - Good value. Great for summer.

Enhancing Underwear is All the Rage
![]() |
Cocksox Enhancing Jock |
The term “junk in the trunk” isn’t just for the ladies anymore. Now more than ever, it is easier to fill out your derriere, supersize your package, or even give a lift to your nether-regions with the help of an underwear enhancement. In a recent survey on MensUnderwearStore.com, they asked customers how they felt about the underwear enhancement movement: 33% of men said that they would be open to trying this kind of underwear, while 26% revealed that they like enhancement underwear and already wear them. The underwear enhancement revolution is upon us!
Here at MUB we've definitely seen just how true this is. With an increasing number of brands offering enhancement options like Andrew Christian and C-In2. In fact some brands exclusively specialize in enhancing underwear like Big Boys Pants, Obviously, and Cocksox, just to name a few. There are many different "technologies" out there to help you get a bigger profile from padding, to slings, to specially cut pouches and everything in between.
So here at MUB, we want to hear from you. What are your thoughts on wearing enhancing underwear? Would you wear them every day or just for special occasions? 33% of men surveyed said they would wear them, are you one? Or maybe you're one of the 26% that already does.

Autumn Change - The Latest Collection from Obviously
Obviously, maker of anatomically correct underwear for men, has just launched their latest line entitled Autumn Change. The new collection is about the transition from summer to winter that is Autumn. The warm glow of summer is still reflected in many aspects of nature as represented by the kiwi and plum colors in the collection. But we also see the harshness of winter approaching as is represented by the glacier and stone blue colors in the collection. The new line comes in a full range of styles from full cut boxerbriefs to super skimpy thongs and everything in between. And as always, the collection is made of eco-friendly fabrics so you know you're having a positive impact on the environment. The new collection also introduces a new waistband that is bold and stylish. It gives the line a new hip and youthful feel. So if you're looking for something to help keep you supported this autumn, try the Autumn Change collection from Obviously.

Obviously Sinuous - A Review
The bikini brief is a great choice for the summer. Also known as the sports brief or tanga, the bikini brief allows for airflow and movement - perfect for sports and hot summer days. Today I'm going to review Obviously's version of the bikini brief from their Sinuous collection.
These bikini briefs are fitted true to size. They are an ultra low-rise that is just barely decent. The trick to these is that there is no fabric sides to the undies, they are just a strip of fabric that stretches from front to back. The sides are completely open with just a waistband running across. This means that the pouch makes up the entire front of the undies. The back is what I would call a three-quarters coverage, it is not quite full coverage but it still covers. The pouch is what Obviously calls "anatomically correct". Basically what this means is it is a separate pocket that allows your manhood to hang freely as nature intended. No pulling it tight against the rest of your body. On other styles of underwear, like the boxerbrief, I found this pocket to be a little too disconnected and made it a little hard to fit comfortably in some pants. But since this special pouch makes up most of the front, it still holds you close enough to the body to give support while letting you hang free at the same time.
The fabric used in the sinuous collection is oh-so-soft and smooth. It is really comfortable to wear. It conforms to your body in just the right ways for a snug fit that isn't too tight. The waistband is very soft, you don't even know it's there. And the legbands? Well they are non-existent so there is no discomfort there. The minimal coverage of this underwear and the soft fabric makes these a perfect choice for daily wear, especially in the summer.
These undies are not for the self-conscious, but they could definitely flatter those with a less-than-perfect body. The cut is fashion-forward and daring. There is a stylish screen-print swirl pattern on the butt of the underwear. They come in three bright colors (lime green, teal, and charcoal) that are not for the faint of heart. They are very flashy and bold, while still remaining modest and covering all your man parts. If your friends see these, they'll know you have style.
As for the quality of these undies, I am surprisingly impressed. My past experience with Obviously (and as many of you have pointed out as well) has been that the quality of the fabric is a little flimsy and doesn't hold up well after multiple washings. But they seem to have remedied these problems with their latest lines. Are they worth it? The Obviously bikini briefs normally retail for around $26, but they are currently on sale for $18. With the quality and style of these things, I'd say they're a good bargain even at 26 bucks. But for 18? You'd be a fool not to pass these up.
MY RATING:
Overall, I give the Obviously Sinuous Bikini Brief a total score of 9 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9 (out of 10) - Low-rise, minimal coverage. Anatomically correct pouch.
COMFORT -- 10 (out of 10) - Soft fabric. Minimal coverage makes them perfect summer wear. Overall, I give the Obviously Sinuous Bikini Brief a total score of 9 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9 (out of 10) - Low-rise, minimal coverage. Anatomically correct pouch.
STYLE -- 9 (out of 10) - Screams style.
QUALITY -- 9 (out of 10) - Well made. Much better than previous versions.
VALUE -- 9 (out of 10) - Good value, and the sale makes them an even better deal.

Hom Plume |
Since thongs are minimally designed, a good fit is essential. As I described above, a poor fit will result in a less than optimal wearing experience. I would recommend, therefore that you invest in a quality garment that is well designed and made out of materials that you like. Here are some recommendations for all three kinds of thongs:
Thongs:
3. The Hom Plume. When I first started reading the underwear boards, men from around the world crowed about the Hom Plume. It is truly one of the best thongs out there. The sides of the garment are strings, but are very stretchy. The material of the garment is thinner than paper-thin and mold to your body. It truly feels like you’re wearing nothing.

Sinuously, Though - A Review

So, I visited Australia about a year ago. Before I left I made a list of “must do” items. 1. Hug a koala (check!), 2. Put something on a “barbie” (check!), 3. Go to one of those surf carnivals where all the crazy hot Australian men hike up their Speedos (sadly, no check). Though I did not accomplish everything I wanted to during my trip to the southern hemisphere, I left feeling edified (and with a suitcase full of underwear).
One of the first things I learned during my time in Australia is that the lovely men of that country can generally be categorized in two ways:
1. Hot
2. Hella hot!!!
So, I guess you’re wondering why I’m blah-blah-blahing about Australia when you really just want to read a review of the sinuous low rise bikini brief. Well, besides the fact that the garment I’m reviewing is designed and made there, the sinuous brief is the embodiment of everything that is awesome about Australia.
Obviously is an Australian brand that came into being in 2007 and with its founding, it brought forth an underwear reformation, one where comfort was paramount. Their well constructed garments personify the laid back attitude of the austral continent and its hysterically hot inhabitants. Simply put, the super comfortable, super sexy, sinuous low rise bikini brief is underwear at its very best. There's truth to the company's claim to being the most comfortable underwear in the world.

The shape of the briefs are less what we North Americans call a bikini brief, but more along the lines of what we think of as string bikinis, or for our Euro friends, tangas, with the pouch and the rear connected only by the waistband. The pouch and the rear provide minimal coverage, but I kind of like that. If you like full rear coverage, you probably will want to take a pass at these as the fabric approaches more of a ¾ coverage of your badonkadonk.
So, now, on to the good part: the fit and feel of the low rise bikini briefs. When you put the things on, you get a feeling that something different is going on. There’s an adherence to the male anatomy that make the briefs feel like a natural extension or a second skin. No woman (no offense ladies!) could make briefs that feel so right on your body. Your boys will be your besties when you carry them around in a pair of Obviously brand underwear. They’ll hang free and natrually in a luxurious, lightweight encasement that is both comfortable and enhancing. It goes without saying that you’ll upgrade yourself in the bulge department when you slip these on.
I cannot reiterate how comfortable the fabric is. It’s paper thin and super light weight. If only all underwear could be made out of it. It does tend towards the risqué, so if you are going to be on display and in polite company, and don’t want to give away your religious affiliation, better take a pass.
In economic terms, you’ll probably take a ding buying these. They're at the upper end of the price range, but considering the construction and material and the fact that they were made in a country with a developed economy, the price is justified. If you don’t want to shell out the duckets for a pair of the sinuous line, Obviously has its original line of low rise garments in a monochromatic scheme with similar cuts and materials at a lower price point.
Otherwise, I would definitely, definitely recommend the Obviously brand, sinuous bikini brief.
OVERALL, I give the Obviously Low Rise Bikini Brief a score of 9.0 based on the following criteria:
COOL FACTOR -- 9 (out of 10) – bright vibrant color, masculine design
QUALITY -- 10 (out of 10) - very well made garment with great attention to detail
HOTNESS -- 10 (out of 10) – you’ll be full grown in these (wink, wink)VALUE -- 7 (out of 10) – expensive, but considering construction, quality, and origin may be worth it to you to invest in a pair
********** 9.0
