Enhanced Enhancing - Cocksox, a Review

Cocksox is known for their profile enhancing underwear designs.  A few years ago when Cocksox first came out, I reviewed their briefs.  My biggest complaints were that they did not adequately hold everything in place when aroused and they often rode down, requiring lots of adjustments throughout the day.

Today I am going to review the Cocksox trunk with new waistband.  I tried them in white.

The first thing I want to discuss with these is the enhancing component.  I think this is the most successful implementation of Cocksox's enhancing technology yet.  Because it is part of a trunk instead of something skimpier, there is enough fabric to hold everything in place no matter what your state of arousal is.  In previous versions, the pouch was such that it often separated from the body in such a way that support was lost.

Now the question is, does it really enhance? I will admit, the results are not as drastic as some of Cocksox's other gear.  Instead what this trunk does is it basically collects your manhood in front of you and just sort of holds it in place.  Other Cocksox styles that I've tried hold things out at almost a 90 degree angle, whereas this trunk holds it out at a slightly smaller angle.  This makes for less drastic enhancement, but honestly some of the other stuff was almost too much.

As Cocksox promotes on their website, these trunks are truly quite versatile.  They offer enough support so that they can be worn for running.  But they're also perfect to wear just during the day.  The Supplex/Lycra blend fabric dries really quickly which is great for an active lifestyle or washing on the go.

The cut of these trunks is nice. They hit in the perfect place mid-thigh so that they won't ride up, but they're also not going to show underneath your running shorts.  The rise is such that they are perfect for wear with low-rise or mid-rise jeans.  The supplex/lycra fabric is lightweight and thin.  Perfect for hot summer days.  I honestly forget I'm wearing these, they really are like a second skin.  The back is seamless for a nice, smooth look under tight clothing.

These trunks have a waistband, which is unusual for Cocksox gear.  I really like this addition as it is very stylish looking and also holds the underwear in place and prevents them from riding down.  I really like the use of the blue accent color for the lettering on the white waistband, it adds a little panache.  The waistband is flat-stitched to the rest of the undies to minimize the bulk and increase their comfort.  There are no elastic legbands, but just a simple folding over at the bottom of the legs suffices.  This makes for a comfortable fit while keeping the legs from riding up.  These trunks are stylish in a reserved way.  They are a very current, modern fit but the basic white makes them look very classic.

These trunks are exceptional quality.  I've had these for quite a while and they have gone through the wash numerous times.  Often with synthetic fabrics you start to get a lot of "pilling" after repeated washes.  But I have not had any problems with that.  They also have kept their crisp white color in both the body of the underwear and the waistband.  I have experienced a little bit of stretching out at the bottom of the legs, but after a wash they snap back into shape.

At about $30 USD a piece, these are not cheap.  But I've gotten a lot of great wear out of mine and expect a lot more to come.  These things will definitely last you.  They are versatile and can be worn for athletic purposes - $30 is a great price for something that is so versatile.  And if you get them today (7/18/10), Cocksox is still having their Cocksox day sale so you can save 20%.

MY RATING:
Overall, I give the Cocksox Trunk with new Waistband a total score of 9 based on the following criteria:
FIT -- 9 (out of 10) - Stylish, modern fit.  Hits mid-thigh.  Improved enhancing pouch.
COMFORT -- 9 (out of 10) - Thin, lightweight material perfect for summer.  Like a second skin.
STYLE -- 8 (out of 10) - Reserved style.  Stylish waistband and cut.
QUALITY -- 10 (out of 10) - No pilling or fading after repeated washes. Holds up well.
VALUE -- 8 (out of 10) - Expensive but versatile.

I agree with you comparison to the brief style. I'd much rather wear this trunk style for everyday purposes whereas the brief is more of a fetish item :)
