Perfect Tan Lines

Tan lines, two words that strike fear in the hearts and on the skins of millions of tanners world wide. I know I hate tan lines, unless they are done right. "Done right?", you may ask. Yes I’m here to say if you wear the right thing, tan lines can not only be a good thing, but an incredibly sexy thing. But they can also be something that must be avoided. So here are my favorite picks for suits that give you sexy tan lines, and suits that leave you with none at all. So get your tanning oils ready, strip down to those bikini swim briefs and let’s catch some rays.

Koalaswim.com has suits that fit perfectly into both of these categories so that’s the brand to start with. Koalaswim is known for their outrages fetish suits, and their tiny swim suits that are always fun to look at and even more fun to wear.

The Streamline suit is a bikini style suit, so it will be great to wear at any beach, or even in the backyard (if you wear anything in the backyard.) The front is extremely low-cut, and the back is a bikini thong hybrid, which shows off your butt. This is a great suit and you will definitely have very few lines from this one. The Streamline sells for $32.00 (US) at Koalaswim.com.

So this next one also comes from Koalaswim.com, and it is my favorite tanning suit. The Micro Sport Swimmers Pouch, is exactly what the name says, it’s a micro pouch to hold your junk, and nothing else. This suit has a great design, and fits right around the base of the dick to cover the dick and balls. The Pouch is made of lyrca so its great for swimming and beach going, but I wouldn’t recommended you do much swimming in it. The best part of this suit is it allows you to get an all over tan, but keeps the penis and sensitive skin around it from burning. Just watch out for sand up your butt! Get this one at Koalaswim.com for $21.00 (US).

The next suit comes from the guys at Rufskin, this one is a great denim suit called Scout. This low-cut bikini has a great ring right one the hip, and has a great cut in the front, and shows off a little skin in the back. The scout is available at Undergear.com and sells for $53.00 (US).

Tulio has a great suit that gives no back coverage, and very little in the front. I’ve never been a big fan of showing off my hairy butt in public, but after I saw this one, I’m rethinking that. This suit is pretty dang sexy, instead of straps holding the front and the back together this one has chains and metal rings. The Chain Side Bikini from Tulio comes in several colors, and can be found on NuWear.com. Guys, this is one I want you to check out, and it only costs a hot $29.00.

If you’re looking for a suit that has full coverage, but won’t leave you with tan lines that everyone will see, check out the Low Rise swim briefs from Marc Ouest. These come several designs, and colors from one with a thong back, to one with a really nice sunset design. I can assure you, you will have fun in these suits and you’ll want to wear them to the beach, to the pool, or even as underwear. I found these at MarcOuest.com and the prices range from $24.00-$40.00.

My final suit comes from Aussie Bum, this one will only work if you’re wet, so get a float and get out in the water. The Wonder Jock swim briefs are not your average swimsuits for more than one reason, first, this suit has the wonder-jock technology, and these suits become sexier and sheerer the wetter they get. So leave your inhibitions behind, flaunt your stuff and get these puppies wet. These came from Aussiebum.com and sell for around $30.00. For a great tan I would recommend getting the white.

Okay guys, so there you have it, my picks for getting great tan lines. But with these perfect lines comes some responsibilities, these are simple but they are so very important to become fully sexy. First off, if you’re tanning in public in any of these suits you gotta do some shaving, no one wants to see a dude in a bikini if he is covered in hair. So get a good razor and give that hair down there a good wack, I’m not saying shave it all, but keep it trimmed, I always leave a little stubble, cause what girl (or guy) doesn’t like their man to be a little ruff around the edges. And finally, if you haven’t got a base tan, don’t head to the beach just yet, wait till you get a little sun, so strip off those clothes you’re wearing, yeah I mean all of them (hey man, the briefs have gotta go too) and head out to the back yard, and get a little tan (everywhere.)

So there you have it, summer is already in full swing, so get out there, and get a good bake.

Vizeau Fall/Winter 2007

Vizeau, a swimwear company that is probably best know for their overly sexy swimsuits for men, has just released their Fall/Winter 2007 collection. This collection is one that you must check out, for the first time in several seasons I think they have created a suit for every guy. This season's designs range from my favorite, the Masoch design, which is a v-cut racer with a very interesting back strapwork, to one like in the picture above or even a basic swim truck. For the athletic type I would recommend something like the Gino, which would be great for swimming laps in the pool. Or if you prefer a little sunbathing and people watching on the beach go with the Snake, which has a great front design and full back. If you go for that early morning run around the block like I do, try the Alain. With its super short legs and scooped sides the Alian is sure to make those extra miles worth it. Say you're not in perfect shape but you still want to feel sexy (and what guy doesn't?) pull on 0302, this is a great trunk style suit with a roomy front pouch to hold everything in. And finally if you feel like living on the wild side take a swim in the Sliver, which leaves only a sliver of skin covered, this suit is a Vizeau signature and has a one leg thong design. As always these suits are very sexy, and are supposed to be shown off.  So whether you’re at the local pool, on South Beach, or some beach on the coast of France, go ahead and show it off!
As you guys may have noticed, this post was written by Chandler.  He has now become a permanent part of UB due to popular demand.  I'm sure he will have lots of interesting things to say in the future.  I know I'm looking forward to reading it.

Summer Swimwear Series Poll

As a part of the summer swimwear series I have decided to poll you guys about what you guys like to wear to the beach. The poll can be found in the left-hand column below the ads. I have had polls on this blog in the past, but this poll is special because it is part of Blogger. But not just any Blogger, it's part of the new Blogger Draft. So it is a test and may have some bugs in it. But please take it and hopefully it will work fine.

Also, I am out of ideas for the Summer Swimwear Series. So if you have any questions about swimwear that you have just been dying to ask, please ask them. Or if you have other ideas, let me know about those as well.

Summer Swimwear Series Part 2

One of the biggest trends in the men's underwear world right now is underwear that enhances the male package and profile. Many readers have asked me what they can do to achieve that same enhancement in their swimwear. Because there is no point in lifting it all up in underwear while wearing pants if it is just all going to be lost when you go to the beach. But don't worry, there are plenty of enhancing swimwear options out there.
What you can do to achieve 'package' enhancement in swimwear.
The C-IN2 sling has been very popular in the men's underwear world. Some people really enjoy it while others find it incredibly uncomfortable. If you like the C-IN2 sling underwear, then I'm sure you will enjoy their swimwear (I have not tried it, but it operates with the same principles). International Jock currently has the C-IN2 sling swim briefs and trunks (this one is shown) on sale, so go check it out. And even if you don't like the sling, if you're in the market for a swimsuit this is a great deal on a swimsuit and you can just not use the sling (although that would defeat the purpose of why I posted about it).

Next up is the much anticipated Wonder Jock swim brief from aussieBum. The Wonder Jock swimwear uses Wonder Jock technology to lift and push your goods forward. A word of caution though, the ice and white swim brief are see-through when wet so they are not meant for the timid.

Another option for enhancement in swimwear is the swim brief from Cocksox. They are available with or without a drawstring (I would recommend a drawstring to help hold them in place because the Cocksox briefs had a tendency to fall down when I tried them). Also, I would be a little wary of what you do in these based on my experiences with the underwear (read the review for my potential concerns for the swimwear).

Finally, let's say you really love a particular swimsuit but it just does not create a flattering package. Well there still might be hope thanks to WildmanT's Ball Lifter. The folks at WildmanT actually recommend the Ball Lifter Sport as a potential enhancer for wearing underneath swimwear.

I hope that you found this entry informative and helpful. As always, I welcome your comments on this post.

Summer Swimwear Series Part 1

I have received numerous emails and read numerous posts on Yahoo! Answers regarding boardshorts. So I decided that this would be a good opportunity to answer many of the common questions that I receive and read.

What to wear under boardshorts and when to wear them.
In recent years boardshorts have gained popularity as the swimsuit of choice among the young. But the problem is, these garments are debateably not even swimwear. Most swimwear has some sort of lining to help give you that extra support and protection. But boardshorts are one layer with no mesh lining inside. The upside to this is that one can wear whatever one wishes underneath them, but the question is 'what should you wear?' Well, it depends on what you will be doing in these boardshorts. Boardshorts are oftentimes worn just as normal shorts in the summer. If you are just going to wear them around town and you are not going to be going in the water, I'd recommend that you wear whatever underwear you normally wear underneath your shorts. But if you are planning on taking the shorts in the water (or even out on the water in a boat) then I'd recommend that you wear something else. Here's why. Most underwear is made of cotton or some other fabric that does not dry quickly, therefore if the boardshorts (and then your underwear) get at all wet it will take forever for the underwear to dry and you will just be wet and miserable for a few hours. I do not recommend that you just wear boardshorts by themselves because they have no supportive liner and they have a tendency to fall off when coming out of the water. Therefore, I recommend that you wear supportive swimwear underneath the boardshorts, like a swim brief (commonly referred to as a Speedo) or a swim trunk. It will look like you are just wearing some sort of underwear, but you will not have to worry about being wet and miserable. Also, as an added bonus, you could take off the boardshorts and just go swimming in the suit underneath if you have a change of heart. Now this brings us to when one should wear boardshorts. Boardshorts are rather big and bulky so they are not ideal for actual swimming or competitive swimming. They are fine for just hanging around in the pool though. Also, if you just want to lounge around on the beach or the boat or go surfing, then boardshorts are perfect. In future posts I will be talking about what swimwear to wear for different swimming situations, but for now that's the lowdown on boardshorts. Keep in mind, this is all just my opinion so feel free to not follow my advice. I am very eager to hear your opinions on boardshorts in the comments section of this entry.

Summer Swimwear Series

In honor of the summertime I am starting a new series of blog entries called "Summer Swimwear Series". This series will feature common questions and answers about men's swimwear (whether it be etiquette or the best places to buy it). Users can submit questions and I will answer them based on my knowledge and experience. This will be very much like the Underwear Answers series. I already have quite a few ideas up my sleeves and I already have quite a few questions waiting to be answered, but if you have a pressing question about swimwear don't hesitate to send it to me (via email). If you don't, stay tuned for upcoming posts because you might just learn a thing or two.
