Men's Underwear Brands

Today, I'd like to talk about brand loyalty. I've worn, (off the top of my head), Jockey, Jake & Co., Sonoma, Canyon River Blues, Undergear, Arrow, Hanes, FTL, 2(x)ist, Gap, Old Navy, and Polo Ralph Lauren. 12 brands and only 5 styles (boxers, briefs, boxer briefs, bikinis, and thongs). That's not a great track record with one brand, if you ask me. This is odd considering I buy all my music in the same store, all my Chinese food at a certain restaurant, all my haircuts at a certain barber (with a certain stylist), amongst other things.

I think that one of the main reasons that there isn't a whole lot of innovation in underwear by the standard department store brands is because there probably IS brand loyalty in underwear. Once you've found the right pair, wouldn't you buy it over and over again? I guess I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

Todays Poll:
Where is your loyalty? Do you have a "favorite" pair? Is your favorite pair also your "lucky" pair?

I love Calvin Klein's heather gray string bikinis (style 1045). I have worn them since I could drive to the store and buy my own underwear. My mom bought me boys sized tighty whities until I went off to college (imagine heading off to college with a bag full of boy's undies). So, it was incredibly exciting to try a different style. The Calvin's fit me perfectly and felt sexy. I've never looked back. Sadly, Calvin Klein no longer makes this style so I search the Internet (including eBay) buying every pair I find. That's loyalty!

I'm a boxer guy. I like the way they let me hang "naturally" and they are cooler than briefs in warm weather. Best of all they don't get caught under my balls like the leg openings of briefs. Jockey makes a good brand of short boxers that give a lot of freedom and comfort - that's my brand

Hey... I'm a brief guy, though I don't wear briefs as often in the summer. My favorite underwear is the Jockey Elance Poco Brief.

I'm brand agnostic. For many years, I loved the Jockey Elance Poco briefs. They have clean lines, feels light, and comes in many colors and patterns. I still have them but the leg seams always left my bum itchy, so I switched. I now wear Banana Republic boxers for the unmanaged feel and (ah hem) for the managed and bare bum feel, Intimo plaid cotton thongs.

I bought my first pair of Jakes & Co. in Texas while sitting out Huricane Rita and now I can not find them north of the Mason-Dixon line. I like to make sure all of my passengers are strapped in well.

Jake & Co underwear can only be found at TJ Maxx. However trying to get the store manager or order them is impossible. My wife thinks I'm nuts and has tried to get me to waer another brand of boxer briefs. Nothing holds up like Jake & Co. jimmy1264@charter.net

i love hanes and fruit of the loom very much. Ihave tried boxer briefs, but they were too tight. Itried briefs, and I loved them. Then I tried boxers, and they were perfect. I wear boxers all the time. I sleep in briefs because they are more comfortable to sleep in than to wear everyday. If you are asking what kind of underwear to wear, I would say boxers or briefs.

I have been a fan of Jake & Co boxerbriefs (prefer black) for years. Here in Los Angeles, I find them at Marshalls occassionaly. I wish there was a place I could get them all the time. Because they are so hard to find, I save them for "dress up" underwear!

I'm a diehard fan of only Italian brands like Enrico Coveri, Garda Intimo, Pierre Cardin, Snelly Uomo. the last one makes me smile all the time cause it almost sounds like smelly but they are really comfortable, they have flat seams and very few of them so they dont press up against the inside of your thighs next to your sack. you can find them online.

My favorite men's underwear is usually found on the floor next to my bed.

Oh man, so excited you asked the question. The answer is ALWAYS JM Koton briefs. they are no longer made by this terrific Canadian company. My heart breaks to think all we have left are briefs with spandex in them. Yech. Now they're made with 9% Lycra/Spandex. Since when did my underpants have to have spandex in them?

I will have to change brands in time, once all the backlogged briefs I have yet to open from JM are worn out. And man, I love my briefs, and I wear 'em out!
